Wrangler Whillys Edition - 12-Volt Auxiliary Power Outlet

Hey all, I have a question about the 2016 or 2017 2 door Wrangler Whillys Edition and the power outlets.

Essentially what I want to know, is does it come with a way for me to power my cell phone? I typically use cigarette outlets with a converter to usb, and I'm wondering if the Whillys Edition has something like that?

The reason I ask is because I noticed on Jeeps site, when comparing models with the Sport or Sport S, that it says the 12-Volt Auxiliary Power Outlet doesn't exist. I find that very odd ..

If anybody knows, please drop a line!

Also if anyone has a Whills Edition 2016+, i'd like to know if/how you charge your phone in your wrangler. Thanks!

I don't charge my phone in my car, but my Willys has 12V outlets and USB ports in the center council. That must be an error.

One thing to note about the center console outlets is they are the USB-standard 500mA type. Most phones these days need at least a 1A to even break even, let alone charge.

You're better of sticking with the cig outlet to USB approach. (Or wiring in new, 2.5A USB aux ports, if you're feeling fancy.)

It has the cigarette plug in it. Personally, I took that out and replaced it with a usb outlet that fits in there flush (where the cigarette adapter goes). One note though, I have an aftermarket radio, with a usb plug in the back. The picture basically acts as a usb extension. But it makes a very flush look where you have a usb plug right there. Looks stock, where Jeep should have done in the first place with these newer Wranglers ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1474295534.257878.jpg
