Yes like Jeff said it fits. But if you want the maximum offset and not poke out, and work with most drops I believe it's +40. I do believe I was the first with +40 for our rigs *Humble Blush Face*
A lot of the guys running 3 piece wheels on extreme drops run a +45 but I don't like the look. Those tuck some and lose the custom wheel look. I believe the Factory Reproductions are a +45.
Factory wheels on WK2 are 10" wheel with +50 offset.
The Factory Reproductions (FR) are replicas of the WK1 wheel available in 20" and 22". I believe they are available in many widths and offsets. However I think the +45 is what the WK2 guys are running. You can tell in the photos because the wheels tuck some and are not close to flush.
they are very very wrong. this will stick out and look awful. maybe that's the only way they can get their wheel to clear the brakes? look at my pictures an et20 will stick 15mm further out of wells. considering they already stuck out a little and rubbed another 15mm would be huge.
Depending on the style or concave offsets change do some reading up to understand I have explained this to a lot of people may be someone who I've told feels like typing it!
I know I've schooled AKON for weeks on it and he knows come on man Type Up AKON
I DON'T want my wheels flush. I DON'T want skinny, stretched tires.
I'm buying Blaque Diamond BD-8 wheels and they don't have a concave effect. Thus, I prefer the largest offset possible, considering I'm stuck with 10.5.
I was hoping to find some 21x10 but, anything that fits is 8-12k USD for the set. There's NO WAY in hell i'm ever paying more than 2k for wheels.
So, I'll compromise and get the DB-8. At $1200 for the set, it's a decent deal.
I hear you Ollie, I have been chasing 21 inch wheel x 10.5, I have 2 suppliers and one says an offset of 33 and the other says 40....like you I don't like a flush look and definitely don't want something poking outside the rim....I like the XO Veronas but can't understand why they both suggest a different offset ( I only have 2 suppliers ).....your BD8s look good
When talking with the agent, I sent her to this page. She took the time to verify with her colleagues and quickly apologized, while confirming that the right offset for a 10.5" wheel is between 35 and 40.
I'm pretty set on 40, for now.
My next crusade is to figure out if I can get away with a slightly staggered setup. 22" with 9" front - 10.5" rear. Getting tires that will have the same RPKM is going to be key.
I personally do not see the point in staggered on these beasts. Seems to me that it would handle better and be simpler to just keep it simple with the same wheel on all 4 corners.
That's a definite possibility. I have to discover how the driveline handles this. It'll be a few weeks before I take it into the shop for all the discoveries.
It's not about concacve, I couldn't care less abut trends.
If i have to choose between 9" and 10.5", i'm certainly going to go for 10.5". This being said, if I can fit some 9" and reduce the adverse effects of a wider wheel up front, i'll be happy.
Snow is coming so I have until april to figure it out. It's going to be 20x9 on all corners, in a few weeks, for winter.
Gotcha I guess I'm still confused though... Are you taking about running the narrow in the front for winter handling? I understand it's not for the concave difference as you said above.
What's the adverse affects you are avoiding?
Yep, in winter, i like having lots of sidewall and a narrower sole.
Since the roads are very bad here, i'm adding compliance. More of a Overland/Summit kind of ride. Normally, I always choose a tire that's slightly taller on the sidewall (larger overall diameter). This marginally raises the vehicle and adds plushness in the first stage of the suspension, which is the tire itself. Completely the opposite of a skinny, stretched tire.
The advantage of a narrower wheel up front is drivability (less surface tracking), reduced rotating mass (more power transferred to the tarmac) and better lock-to-lock clearance. The front wheels are meant to steer the vehicle, more than drive it. I would much prefer if our AWD were rear-biased and only transferred power to the front to help, when needed. But alas, I chose this truck above all for the way it looks so I'm entirely lucid about not having every aspect the way I would prefer.
I ordered the full suspension upgrade kit from BWoody so I'll start there and work my way through the rest.
The wheels suit my taste perfectly and i'm looking forward to seeing them in my garage, for a few months, before putting them on.
