Not sure where you are located but I'd gladly change my all season tires for 3 season. The hitch is cheaper to do after the fact except for the labor. The hitch kit includes the wiring adapter that plugs into the wiring that's already in the truck. The only other part you need is the towing specific valance cover.

No extra cooling, full size spare is probably the only other (besides the content already mentioned) difference.

And does the full-size spare fit over the front and back brakes?

Re: $1000 + price increase for 2013 Jeep SRT8

I have a local dealer with a 2012 that has been sitting on the showroom floor forever. Spent a little time with him last week and he said he was willing to let it go at his invoice and toss $1000 of kickback money my way as well. The final price before TTL is $56,806.

I would really like to own the special edition but that will surely be out of my price range. I'm half temped to trade my 2011 Overland in on it.

Just do it, you won't find a better deal and you will love the SRT

Nope, just fits over rear. Kind of a pain with a front flat but better than no spare at all.

When do you think the price of the showroom 2012 models will come down? In a few months you'll be able to order a 2014. What do you think 2 years of depreciation is worth?

The price has already come down. Any dealer not willing to sell you an in stock SRT8 at invoice is just greedy (or stupid) since its eating up floor plan dollars every month. A few dealers are moving them at true cost (invoice minus holdback) but they are few and far between. http://www.carmax.com/enus/search-re...iewCar#8604807

If by a few months you mean 12 then yes, 2014 orders are just months away BTW, I wouldn't be surprised if the 2014 becomes the first $70,000 Jeep in history....... (not including the rumored special edition 2013)

Re: $1000 + price increase for 2013 Jeep SRT8

FYI - If anyone is looking to get a used one in the NJ area, found this mineral gray one today on cars.com. Asking $52,995 with 2,414 miles on it. Not currently in the market myself, but this seems like a decent deal.

CANADA - 2013 Jeep SRT8

Base MSRP: $56,295 (+ $1595 destination = $57,890)

+ $1500 increase vs outgoing 2012 model. Pricing for all options remains the same.

Right on! Just as expected, and since no change in the vehicle itself, I'm glad I jumped on the 2012. This $1500 and the (very) small discount from my dealer will pay for over half the winter wheel package.....which should be here tomorrow.

Re: $1000 + price increase for 2013 Jeep SRT8

Like my Jeep, but being completely honest.......I would never pay more than the $58,650 I paid last Dec. for it. (price protection and halfway between invoice and MSRP). Especially wouldn't pay the price I am expecting them to want for the SC version in the future.

If I am being completely honest. I'm disappointed in the speed of the 2012. The 2010 is not as refined, but is just as fast and you feel the enjoyment of it. For the items I really like in the 2012, I could get them in an Overland for almost $20k cheaper. This is a big reason why I ordered my 2013 Shelby as a toy car, should be here in a week or so.
