Went out again early this AM on the same deserted roadway and tried more of an uphill in the opposite direction and rattled off these times to back up my previous best....

BTW, I'm happy to see 106mph

how are you launching the truck ( track mode?, what is ur rpm's, are u using paddle shifters) what rpm's are the shifts?

LAUNCH:
I use one foot on the brake and one on the gas at the same time and let off the brake at 1000-1100rpm. I haven't tried higher rpm launches yet.

MODE:
I've used Track Mode with my best times. (I didn't fully disable traction control) I haven't spun tires yet.

SHIFTING:
I've tried using automatic and paddle shifting. I prefer paddle shifting to control shift points. I think getting the 1st to 2nd gear shift right is the most difficult. It happens quick and it becomes challenging to pull the lever at the time needed at about 5200-5500rpms. For the remaining gear changes I shift at 5500-6000rpms.

Keep practicing


Remember the things that affect good times:
Vehicle weight (and weight distribution)
Gas quality
Air Temps
Tire pressures
Driver ability
Knowing the powerband of your engine
Mileage on motor
Aerodynamics
Engine temp
etc...
