Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

Just unbelievable what some people will try.

When I bought my 2012 Limited there was no hint of a refresh or early release of an updated 2014 (May 2012). But...I absolutely love my 2012 and am totally happy with my "outdated" GC. The 14 is a very nice looking vehicle as well but only having 14000 miles on my 12 it makes no sense for me to trade at this time. I am currently planning on a trade in a few years and when I do I will do my research as always, shop around, and buy what I want and love it as well.

And this is how a true gentleman (and any sane person really) handles this situation.

What you are trying to do is completely pointless! It's not just Jeep who does that. Many companies now a days does that. When BMW released The new BMW 5 Series The next year they released more features, options and did a very big change to make the car better, so now Jeep did the same.

You can't catch up with technology all the time my friend. Be happy for what you have. If Jeep didn't think and made big changes they will fall behind a lot the next coming years.

Why?

Cause the other competitors are doing even better with the interior and use the latest Technology and the 2012 and 2013 of GC models were way behind...

If your company is falling behind because your product is a generation behind, for sure you will try to make some changed with what ever profit you have, so you can be somewhere at the top in the market.

chill man it's not Jeep even Lexus did the same to the LX570

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

I have a similar problem but in reverse, I bought an '09 GC, only to realise that the '05 model that came out in the past was cheaper! how can the dealer do such a thing ... surely they should have told me to slow down the guns on signing that paper, and inform me that older models where cheaper, therefore I am late and should have bought a jeep many years ago .. what as I thinking .. I didn't want all the fancy gadgets/bells/whistles of modern day cars ... damn those product improvement and R&D teams within a company!

jokes aside, some people are simply not happy or contempt with what they acquire ... you have an SRT8, bloody enjoy it and make full use of it, otherwise you are not worthy of such a fine chariot!!

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

I wonder if we can extend this case to include the 2011s. I had no idea they were even going to make a 2014 and figured mine would be the very last one ever built.

I can't speak for everyone, but who buys a car for resale value. It will depreciate, whether there is a MY14 or not. Go down to your local hardware, and see if you can buy a cup of concrete, add water and harden the f#$@ up!

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

I think its going to be the MY15 that hurts resale value that we have to worry about. With the issues posted here and on other websites. When the 2011 was released it was way behind the curve on tech for a 2011 model. Then the 12 came out with some enhancements, then the 13 for like 4 months LOL. I have had my12 for a year now and love it. I was excited for the 14's until I saw the spy shots (only one that churned my butter was the my14 SRT), and really until I saw a 14 on the lot and test drove one I really decided I wasn't going to upgrade. In any case.. it will definitely be more exciting with more frequent refreshes(if that's the path Jeep decides to take) and complete redesigns. I really can't believe someone thinks they could win a case like this....

I feel your pain as I just picked up my 2013 GC on Friday and found out while surfing this forum that a 2014 has already been released internationally. The dealer told me nothing of a new model on its way but to be honest if I was him neither would have I. Don't waste your money taking legal action against JEEP as it is a lost cause. I would suggest you save your money pursuing legal action and go buy a 2014.

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

This thread is funny. I'd also like to launch a class action lawsuit against my local 7-11.

They changed from cherry flavor to lime flavor in the machine beside cherry after I'd already started to fill my cup with cherry, therefor limiting my enjoyment of said cherry slurpee.

Nobody is going to buy my cherry slurpee now that lime is an option.

7-11 KNEW they were going to add Lime. It should have been an option from the start.

Don't get me started on the brain freeze.

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

I personally shopped since last year 2012 for my now ( Shipment status) 2014 SRT...I started selling a few of my vehicles privately so I wouldn't get bent over at the dealer on TRADE-IN values. I avg. an extra 5k plus on each.. sold 3. At the time I finally ordered my SRT (May 8th) I bought my son a new '14 Overland 5.7 loaded to the gills in TRUE BLUE and TRADED in my 2012 Camaro SS conv.w/1240 miles and only took a $3500 hit....soooooooooooooooo life has a way of biting you in the azz at every turn Suck it up and buy a new one with all the bells and @#$$#!.... HELL theres a dealer by me with 7 new 2013 SRTs and they couldn't move 'em with a 20ton CAT
