Exclamation '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

Hello,

I am looking into a class action suit against the Jeep/Chrysler company with the subject of how they screwed over '12 & '13 owners. I'm representing several owners already.

-They early-released the '14 model year, thereby hurting resale and trade-in values of the two previous years.

-They rushed the '12 to market without fully developing it. It should have come with all the "improvements" the '14 now has. The 8 speed transmission for starters. LED tail lights should have been included from day 1 on the design of the WK2. "Face lifts" are an acceptable mid-generation improvement. All the other items the '14 has aren't.

-There is no "loyalty money" or "incentives" for existing WK2 owners to upgrade to the '14. Jeep/Chrysler doesn't give a damn about their existing customer base.

Please PM me or email me at theyscrewedus@yahoo.com if you would be interested in being included. All responses will be held strictly confidential and not posted up on any forum. Please let me know any thoughts you have and what you personally would like to see get accomplished.

Thank you.

-Spartacus (I myself own a 3 month old '13 that is now considered "a year old")

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

well, it is hurting us the 12's and 13's owners.
they launched the change of the jeep just after two years of a complete change in the car.

it was too soon of a change.
chrylser/jeep was suppose to look over this problem before releasing the 2014.
ive owned many cars, but none of them had a refresh cycle after 2 years of a complete change.

anyway, what to do..
yea am happy with my jeep, still puts an ear to ear smile.
its a 2012, and im loving it more than the robotic 2014 look.

Very much real, unfortunately. And not a laughing matter. Not sure what the day job comment has to do with this

Two owners spoke with their selling dealer about a trade-in/trade-up and were beyond disgusted with the numbers they were told.

Yes it most certainly is a laughing matter that someone would even consider this. I guess these days people will try to sue for anything. Are you really expecting to get a bunch of money suing Jeep because your car got replaced by a newer and nicer one? Welcome to reality!

Want to know why they were disgusted with the trade in price? Probably because they expect a used car to be worth what they paid for it new. Havent you ever heard the saying a car depreciates 20% when you drive it off the lot?

Give me a break. Your Jeep is still awesome. Drive it, enjoy it, and be happy.

You apparently don't own one, so it's not affecting you.

I'm not expecting anything, just trying to gauge other owners wishes.

And your % is way off (low) in this situation with Jeep releasing the '14 early.

Let me get this straight, you want to sue Chrysler for coming out with a refreshed model when you bought a 2013 AFTER the 2014 was introduced? You're kidding, right?

As an inexperienced buyer, WHY would you blame Chrysler? It's YOUR fault you are unhappy having bought a "one-ear old" vehicle. Did you ever think about researching what you were buying BEFORE you signed on the dotted line? (doh!) If so, you would have known about most of the new 2014 features more than a year ago!

Re: '12 & '13 Owners - Class action suit against Jeep

Mate i know where your coming from, I myself negotiated on a 13, but the dealer screwed up and it just so happened that the 14 was in the pipe line, hence that is what i am waiting for (guess i was lucky in that respect). In anycase, these are awesome rides whether it is a12,13 or 14. All cars depreciate in one way or another they are by no means investments, just enjoy your ride.

I'm sorry, on what grounds are you bringing this action? What exactly do you think they have done to wrong consumers?

Unfortunately with the competition for customers, car manufacturers have to constantly update their products to remain competitive.
Technology has also reduced the development time for new / updated models
I am curious for those considering the class action against Chrysler - who bought the '13 model at run-out prices?
