12" of snow ... no worries!

We got dumped on last night with 12" of drifting snow. I took my Jeep out this morning to get gas for our snow blower. The Jeep with Pirelli Scorpions handled to snow great. I was a little concerned about the snow and the front fascia, but there were no problems at all.

I did notice that the snow was building up between the inside of the front wheel rims and the Brembo callipers. I cleaned snow out when I got home. I was a little afraid the snow/slush build up might freeze and interfere with the callipers. Luckily we don't get 12" snowfalls that often.

19 inches here in Chicago and the stock Pirelli run flat all seasons did pretty well. I did use snow mode for the first time on my '15 and that probably helped out a lot too. Still, next winter I'm going with the Pirelli Ice and Snow for that extra piece of mind. Had them on my '12 and they were excellent.

This is exactly what I was looking for to read!
Excellent to know. I knew the Jeep was good in snow, but not sure how well the AWD will handle large amounts of snow.
I currently have a 2005 Ram 1500 4X4, and it is a BEAST in the winter months. I just want/love to have that peace of mind.

I know what you mean. I had a '12 SRT, then a '14 F150 FX4 and now I'm back in a '15 SRT. The F150 was a Beast also with BFG TKOs and a front leveling kit. Snow definitely wasn't a problem.

Re: 12" of snow ... no worries!

Got quite a bit of snow over the SB weekend. Probably 12" plus on the roads on SB Sunday and my 2014 SRT Drove through it all just fine with the Scorpions. Snow mode as well.

Since we don't have a snow/ice problem here in Sydney Australia.... how do you de-ice your cars (trucks lol)?

Re: 12" of snow ... no worries!

We got about 14 inches near Lansing I have 255 blizzacks and they rock with the lowered suspension and the black ops front splitter it acts like a 500HP snowplow

made two passes in my sub after a couple Prius got stuck... I was snowblowing and helped them get back in their driveway in early am and said" stop let me make a trail " after that they made it out to the main road ... Love my ride!

Neighbor said his wife was on the phone with another neighbor and she was saying how bad it was as some black jeep was going slow making lots of noise and seemed to be spinning... He told his wife... No that is just the crazy guy with that super jeep and he is having fun !
