I think these prices are nuts.

For me, the SRT 8 is the best Deal for an Power SUV
I agree, same story in Switzerland, with the GC SRT at around 100k Swiss Francs (1 US$ = 0.93 Swissie).
I checked and the BMW X5M has a base price of 150k, and a Cayenne Turbo S is 201k...

Now if you want to get the config to the level of a loaded SRT (adding heated/cooled seats, heated wheel, premium audio, sunroof, adaptive cruise control, backup camera, etc...), you get the X5M to 160k, and I didn't even try with the Cayenne Turbo S.
I did try with a Cayenne S, because the base price is near what is charged locally for the SRT... but when I was done with options, I was over 150k. Everything is extra with Porsche.

Yes the 2012 are on stock.

'But I want the 2014 and their is no information at all in Germany

The 2012 model ist on stock, yes. But the price is much to high, because the 2014 ist available on the US Market

We in Europe gets the SRT8 so late, that the new Model is in the USA ready to delivere.

@ V8 Franken

According to my dealer 'im Berner Oberland', the SRT '14 will be availabe in July in Switzerland.

And the price isn't anymore in the range of CHF 100/-!

As you know in Switzerland the car is fully loaded and will be arround CHF 90/-!

That's really good news on the price (even if the importer and dealer still have a great deal if you compare to US prices)!!
My dealer had a '13 Alpine for sale about 2 months ago at around 90k (sticker), and when I commented on the difference with the 100k MSRP, he said it's because the '13s were on the way out and the '14s were coming..., so I wrongfully assumed the MSRP would remain in the 100k range.

The dealer confirmed they will have MY14 GCs at the Geneva Auto Show next week. No indication about the SRT's presence, but I would be surprised if they did not have one (they had one last year). I would assume delivery in Summer (fingers crossed)?

I'll keep my WK1.

4.3 is very possible and some have said even lower. So for these guys to hit a 4.8... I think like Scott said, bad road conditions, added in muggy Texas weather (not as cold as some testing has been done in)

Regardless - I'll happily take this over the other two.
Do you have any track slips?

Its all about quick reflex, comes down to science ,when you put this vehicle into launch control,by flooring the brakes and then the gas pedal, how fast you remove your foot all the ay off the brakes will determine your 0 to 60 time,if you have a big heavy foot like these guys in that video, you will get time like 5.9 sec 0 to 60,very sluggish in removing your foot off the brake pedal on a uneven road.

That screen grab was from a journalist that tested the vehicle.

So basically - someone that knew how to push a button and put the pedal on the floor. Impressive time though, faster than Wk1 as well unless you're talking modded Wk1 - at which point, are we even having the same conversation?

Feel free to keep your WK1. If I wanted old tech, I'd go that way too.

In other news, I just installed Windows 98. It's awesome.

I'm joking, Win98 is sad.

Re: 14' Jeep SRT vs. BMW X5m vs. Cayenne GTS

That video shows a 2012, which is not as fast as the 2014 model and like all car videos - how do we know the people driving knew how to drive or didn't get the jump on the other guy etc? Drag races are all like this.

example..

In one section the Wk1 gets the jump so we assume it's faster. In the other clips, the Wk2 gets the jump so it looks faster. My take? Driver anticipation of light change +/- 1 second and that's all it takes to make the other guy look slower.

Time slips on the other hand - different story.

Jeep says - The 2014 is the most powerful and fasted Jeep in every category they have ever put out. Fastest to 60, fastest 1/4 mile, best braking, most advanced tech wise, safest, best handling etc.

Marketing mumbo jumbo or reality? Remains to be seen I guess.

I do agree the EVIC times need to be taken with a grain of salt.

I can't wait to see what the magazines record when they get it in their hands on their turf. Motor Trend will do a VS. series, I am sure of it.

I still say Wk1 is an amazing vehicle.
