People should form their own conclusions from the discussions, experiences, and opinions of others. Not from opinions that are stated as fact. Facts have numbers, test, and data attached to them. I think I actually did get upset that your passion behind some of your opinions turned them into facts. For that I apologize. (Unfortunately this happens way too often in our society)
Hopefully, we are on the same page Scott. Let's not take this any further.

You're getting sarcastic for the wrong reason. I agreed with you that people should read the thread and come to their own opinions. By reading the thread they are reading opinions (which are needed)... And some facts sprinkled in.

Re: '14 SRT, Front Suspension Collapsed?

Go back and read...the ONLY facts i stated was that "I would not buy eibachs again!" And that the coils had failed and broken. Obvious in the pics. I also stated the fact that mine road terrible and bouncy and the powder failed and they rusted. Many have posted they rode terrible.

Ok no problem. You are right.
BTW I am one of the people who stated the eibachs rode hard.

Here we go again with the e-pissing contest. lol

Anywho, I liked my eibachs on my wk1. I bought the brand new kit for the 2015's. It arrived for Christmas!

Should be installed next week.

They were purchased through Black Ops, originally... On 12/8/2013.

Once more, these have never been subjected to track, or any other adverse use. They failed because each and every one is showing hairline fractures... Eventually flaking paint, and there's SOME rust.

I'll be sure to tell the guy I sold mine to to inspect them thoroughly! He is not installing until spring.

That is just what Eibach's have shown in the past for me. I had 3 sets on F-bodies. Every set failed with that same issues (and the same that Scott mentioned). I saw hairline fractures in the powder coating on all 3 sets. First set on my '98 Z28 that I ran on the track almost weekly. I got a new set to replace them and they did the same thing. When I had my '02 SS, Eibach had a 'new' option - that did the same thing. I switched over to Strano's springs for it and never had an issue. The Eibachs performed fantastic on the track, they just didn't have longevity in my experience.

PS - I haven't changed the springs on the SRT. I have considered it, but I haven't committed to any. I can say for certain that I wouldn't put Eibachs on it due to my personal past experiences.

Re: '14 SRT, Front Suspension Collapsed?

Just taking a quick look at the photos...it looks like brittle fracture to me. Most springs.from a quick google search use a chromium/silicon alloyed steel. My guess is that portion of the steel was higher in magnesium instead of manganese causing it to be a little more brittle than normal. Chromium and silicon were also lower. This doesnt give the spring as much flex at a molecular level. Same with beer cans. The lids are actually a 5082...higher mag alloy so the lid and tab it more brittle. That way the lid pops when you open it. The bodies of the can are 3104...more flexible but will stretch and flex. Lower in mag...higher in silicon, chromium...manganese...etc.
