Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Guys...........it's time to stop with the Obama philosophy of "hope and change" on this price. It's going to work about as well as it has for him. It's been over 2 weeks since this soap opera started and the document posted to dealers 2 days ago still has the same info.

They aren't going to change the price this late in the game.

Agreed. Unfortunately I am still hoping that invoice will be more reasonable... There's ~5K difference between the Viper MSRP and invoice, maybe the SRT 8 will be similar or better.

Any idea about invoice? Will there be the standard 7% off MSRP?

My overland invoice price was ~6% below MSRP (MSRP * 0.9399127223900638 or 44685 * 0.9399127223900638 = 42000) so not even the highest end model (at the time) had 7%.

SRT pricing is not yet in the system, but it seems unlikely that it would change from the graphic which was printed late Friday afternoon.

"New Laredo price and content provides a new entry position for Grand Cherokee starting at $26,995 (4x2) and $28,995 (4x4)"

"Carry over Laredo E content is now available with "Laredo E Group (AAE)" option package for $2,000 thus lowering Laredo E price points to $28,995 (4x2) and $30,995 (4x4)"
I guess that is good news for attracting entry level buyers. My statement was geared toward the SRT though, that I am not believing anymore prices until it hits the dealers system.

I am kinda over it now though and have been looking at other manufactures for my next car. If the $55K price holds true, I will more than likely go back to a range rover again.

Yeah, it's still comming August 6th. But now they changed the year to 2012. They figure the pricing should be just about finalized by then.

If the price of $54,470 is true, I think we are owed some sort of explanation of the $10,365 increase.

For the options I want, this puts the price at $60,005. I am sorry, I am a brand loyalist and have always had Jeeps, but at $60K, just can't bring myself to do it.

For $54,544, I could have this fully loaded. I love the wheels and this thing just looks fast!

BMW styling does absolutely nothing for me......

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Yep that BMW does absolutely nothing for me, as for the pricing I'm glad the price is the same here in Canada as the US (basically give or take a few). I'll be keeping on track with my order, as I was already expecting to pay that much for it because the old 2010 was 53k here base at my dealer. Why continue to charge up up the rear end when we're literally 10 minutes north of the boarder? Well because A LOT of Canadians customers are jumping over to America and buying cars from there. I hope this is a trend to price cars equally now that the dollar is on par or higher.
