Don't hate on our Canadian neighbors just because Chrysler is not screwing them as bad!

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

**** the pricing, but moreso, **** Chrysler for stringing us along THIS ****ING LONG and then making such a lamebrain move on the pricing, so late in the game.

Too little, too late.

I never thought I would say this but I hope Jeep and SRT die off now. I am absolutely embarassed to have ever owned a Jeep (and I've owned plenty) or even my current Dodge SRT for that matter. I'm going to trash-talk the SRT brand now as much as I can. WAY TO GO!!

Do you feel that the prices of the other models are out of whack as well?
I thought those were modest price increases over last generations. No?

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

^ Joe. "Greed is good" I am glad my tax dollars are being well spent.

I have bought many CDJ vehicles over the years and for the first time since I was 17yrs old my planned stable of cars will not include one.

After seeing this pricing I plan to order the new CLS 4matic for myself for my next vehicle. Is it more $ initially, yes. Is it faster, yes. Is it better than the Jeep . My only needs are, seats 4, AWD and will beat 98+% of cars in performance.

I can't even think right now in all honesty. I sort of was monitoring the other prices in terms of finding how/where the SRT model would/could fit in pricing-wise. I don't think $30K for a Jeep sounds terrible, but if that is stripped down, no options, and 4x2, it seems like a lot... $30K more for an SRT and some extra options, I might as well just buy an extra car on top of a Laredo..

"Blame Canada"

The truth is their economy is in much better shape than ours. I came across the following today in my professional reading.

"Maybe Warren Buffet had the right idea when he said, "I could end the deficit in five minutes. You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than three percent of GDP all sitting members of congress are ineligible for re-election."

As for the Nation's AAA rating status, I think we are in for a downgrade no matter what happens inside the "Beltway" as the pendulum always swings too far in each direction. Yet, other countries have lost their AAA ratings (Canada, Australia, and Japan) with only a marginal economic impact. Importantly, Canada and Australia regained their AAA status after a few years of fiscal discipline. "

My point exactly (in another thread).

I'd rather just get a Laredo and put $10K into it to make it faster and more trackable than the new SRT8. In your FACE SRT!

Hilarious!! I love it! I am so disgusted I am still going to sell my 2011 Jeep and get a LR now. See how they feel about that.
