the build quality, fit and finish are there...the dealer quality is another question

Now I was fully expecting to pay around $55K for the 2012 SRT8 fully loaded with all the new features, especially since the interior has been COMPLETELY upgraded (btw I love the adaptive cruise, proximity entry, ventilated seats, etc, etc). I think its worth the extra money im going to be paying.

Just got my build sheet with pricing (got my VIN today too YAHOO!!), and the MSRP is about $60,500. Which means if I can get it for a shade under $57K ill still be happy. I'm confident my dealer will take care of me and give me the best price possible, and ill take care of him by continuing to purchase new vehicles from them in the future. Least they can do is give me 1% below invoice, or close to.

I know its a lot of money and maybe not what we were expecting to pay but its only $2K more than I was realistically expecting to pay so Im in for sure still. I cant wait to be the only guy in town with one! With the amount of attention my 09 got, this will blow the shirts off everyone!

Maybe all of you that are canceling will change yur tune when you see one whip by you in person. For all we know, this Jeep could well be worth the extra $$. Im willing to find out!
I couldnt have said it better!
I know ill get it at invoice so yea maybe 2500$$ more than i thought

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I expect after the initial first build SRt's hit the streets....you can get one easily at +-1 under invioce. I think most of the nonsrt 2011 ltd's and overlands sold for that.....BUT Jeep hasnt posted any incentives for them the entire year until recently there was a $1k incetive on Laredos I believe. These are quality built vehicles and John Q Public can see that. The 2011's ahve brought back many OLD Jeep owners after the debacle of the WK model lineup from 2005-10.

Now, if they introduce the ZF trans next year along with some more base content and leave the base price @ $55K then they might have a better chance of getting them all sold at sticker.

Personally, I'll spend my $60K on a low mileage used Cayenne, IF I decide to part with my 2011 Overland, thank you very much.......
For me the big issue was whether to buy an Overland or an SRT. I think Jeep has got it together with the JGC.
Unfortunately when the estimated prices were similar I thought I would go for the SRT. Now that the price differential is so large that is not as easy a decision.
If I had another high performance vehicle than I would def go for the Overland, but I don't.

By dealer quality are you referring to the knowledge and understanding of how the SRT8 works and runs and how well they will be with working on it hands on? OR are you saying that the dealership needs to give you more perks? i.e. loner cars, diamond encrusted donuts, premium coffee, $100 bill toilet paper? Because the dealership that I am loyal to takes care of me no matter how big the problem may be. I ordered a 2011 Overland in December 10, and they let me drive around in a brand new Jeep free of charge until my order arrived. They are always going above and beyond to make sure I'm pleased. I have no doubt in my mind that they will give me a stellar deal on service after the sale too! Cant wait to get this bad boy!

I have no doubt that some dealers are better than others, my advice to you if you feel you are being treated unfairly is go out and find another dealership who cares more about their customers and community than some that just care about making money.

I just mean quality of SERVICE. certified SRt mechanics with advanced training...which both dealers I use here in KY have. I have had the same exact service you have had from my dealer. Its a small town dealer with small town service. Its not Lexus glitzy...biut its very good and what i expect. I dont need breakfast or $100 bill toilet paper. I live in a small town of about 12000...no one expects that.

Agreed, I really get nervous when anyone else works on my Jeep. But I have confidence in the dealership I visit and feel like they can handle most of the small issues I have. Im a happy camper!
