Milous, what does the "late availability" mean on the tow package?

1. No, affiliate pricing HAS NOT been confirmed as eligible for any of the SRTs, you'll know when it is built and these start getting delivered.

2. We'll believe it when they hand you the keys and you have the signed contract in your hand I can see a dealer doing invoice or affiliate (if allowed), but I don't see a dealer generously doing BELOW AFFILIATE just for the hell of it.

I have a great relationship with my dealership, they wont lie to me. I am for sure going to get a price under FFP. Bet that. If you are unable to find someone to honor anything at or below invoice, take your money somewhere else.

PS... What does: No affiliate pricing HAS NOT been confirmed mean in English?

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

WTF, just talked to the wife (I'm TDY in Oklahoma...how do you people live in this God forsaken place??) and she asked what I was doing or if anything was new. I tell her. Then she tells me to just buy the damn thing anyway.

"You won't be happy with anything else unless it is fast, sporty, and rare"

UGhhh, decisions-decisions. I guess I should be happy as I bet most wives are not like this (nor do they choose a Jeep SRT8 as their ride when given the choice, yes, the WK1 is her's and was her choice of new vehicle)

Just listen to her, she knows better.........

P.S. To all: after canceling my order yesterday (via e-mail) I called my dealer today and I struck a deal at $780 below invoice......so I am keeping my order....
If anyone is interested in 2006 Cayenne S Titanium edition let me know......

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Perhaps this will lend some insight into the buying process.
Here's my story/decision making process...

I am new to the Jeep world, and my decision to walk into a local dealer and put down a deposit was this. I own a BMW 330ci going on 8 years old. It is horrific in snow but a great quick car in the non-winter months. Being my only car I need something AWD (Last year I was thinking Audi). My bro got a new s4. It is horrible in the snow....No clearance!!! So I want a quick car with clearance so I can get to work without any worry. At that time, I read posts on this site and not one speculated the price would be above 49,000 so it fit my budget and the bill! Comparing it to an M3 or S4 is just wrong. There is NO comparison in value from the competition IMO. Now, I’m not happy about the price, as I signed the papers to purchase in June (no sense in crying over spilled milk)...but I have a clause that I must take delivery no later than August 30th.

Now, without the contract I would be on the fence between an overland or bargaining hard on the srt8 or perhaps something else. (I mean an extra 10 grand after we're all said and done is nothing to sneeze at) But what the hell, I only live once and I think it may be worth it to take this baby cross-country!

One question I have is why is everyone so worried about resale value? Do most folks trade or sell their car within 5 years of purchase?

Ha, this is exactly where I am. Every time now I mention the word "Jeep", I get "the look". I've been telling her about it since last November. She's seen me "live" on cars.com trying to find an alternative with no luck.

I would estimate a higher % of people on here have something new (or new to them) every 3 yrs or less.

I have had my 2009 SRT8 for 28 months, and I have had this Jeep longer than any of my last 5 vehicles.

Yup. When I say "Jeep" she tells me to just shut up, she's heard enough about the stupid car already!
