Agreed.
No "Jeep" is worth that.

Of course none of you have driven it yet.

Sure is fun.
And loud.
And good looking.
Hey can you tell us how you have known about this price for a while? Any thoughts on affiliate pricing since you got the inside info?

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Another kicker for me after reading the 3 reviews, and still owning a WK SRT8....seems the 2012 isn't the same type of performer Bigger, more bloated, seems to be the line here.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

its official sad day...

LOS ANGELES -- Chrysler Group, which is reviving its SRT performance brand, has set prices on the first four SRT vehicles it is selling: the Chrysler 300 SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8, Dodge Challenger SRT8 and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
Chrysler will start building the vehicles at the end of July and they will arrive in dealerships before the end of the third quarter.
Prices, including $825 shipping, are as follows:
• 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 -- $46,660
• 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 -- $47,995
• 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 -- $55,295
• 2012 DodgeChallenger SRT8 -- $44,077 (price does not include a $1,300 gas guzzler tax on the automatic transmission and $1,000 for the six-speed manual.)

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Jeep has made a very big error IMO. It is crystal clear they have bloated the price on this vehicle substantially to pad profits. The drastic increase in price over the Overland AND other SRT vehicles is simply ridiculous. The items added to the WK2 cannot possibly cost that much in $$ difference.

Would enjoy hearing Milous's honest thoughts, if he feels he can share them without getting in trouble.

Sorry to go off topic here but are you the guy that was trying to keep up with me on 495 a couple weeks ago? I was driving my black GTO at the time. I just saw the picture with the Patriots plates and could swear it was you. Anyhoo...just wanted to say that I was impressed. The vehicle looked sharp

Back on topic, Road & Track just did a little piece on the 2012 and are claiming a MSRP of $54,470:

I am truly at a loss. All I can figure is that I am not the demographic they want to sell to.
I thought the 43,825 (or what ever it was) was low but with options mine was around $48,810 MSRP (I figured I would be around 50k)
Now I am at $60,000+ I have a heck of a deal worked out (Affiliate or if not avail $400 over what affiliate would have been)
I am calling my dealer to see what my options are (if any)

Mine would be $61,475 + tax/title/reg. And won't be able to use my affiliate according to all the rumors.

Honestly, are they high?

Read my signature. Gonna be honest, I have been laughing at the posts about pricing for about 5 months now.

Exactly, I see nothing about updated pricing...

Milous even updated his site this morning but didn't update pricing and left Base MSRP at $43,825!

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_srt8.htm

Then again, several sites have this posted now, so maybe it IS official?? WTF?!?!? MILOUS WHERE YOU AT WHEN WE NEED YOU??

If this is it, I'm spending the entire day and weekend now figuring out what ELSE I am going to buy INSTEAD. WHAT A FRICKIN RIP-OFF!! TALK ABOUT A GOUGE!!! COME ON CHRYSLER/JEEP/SRT!! VERY disappointed now!!
