Nothing else appeals to me except for the Cayenne...and you guys KNOW you cant get thee Jeeps performance and luxury in it for $54k
A comparable Panamera 4S is 90-115k or more, not even in the same league as the Jeep.

I understand you need to promote Jeeps for the benefit of your site, but this is simply a ridiculous price.

I will only be following through with my order if this is a typo, or my dealer is willing to work some kind of great value deal.
I agree...I dont like the pricing either.....and I was going by the base price for the vehicle I was interested in....sorry. Even at $64k...what really compares? And Im not promoting anything for my site....I DONT benefit AT ALL from this site. It is ALL for pleasure! Thank you

I wouldnt be buying a Panamera 4s...or even new. A used base Panamera is more in my league.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Autoweek just posted the same price - no chance every mag in america gets it wrong.

It's a sad day. Some good news...now I at least know what I am not getting.

Peace out Jeep.

Gotta agree with you. He is just enjoying the disappointment of others. Has a right to his opinion but the whole "I knew this for months" is garbage

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I sent a Tweet out showing these threads to DriveSRT and Chrysler and Jeep and they actually are now following me on Twitter AND Chrysler wrote back saying they would check on pricing and Answers were coming.. *SHRUG* WTF??? Hopefully good news then???

Oh and NONE of them included pricing!!

Oh and Dealers still show NO pricing in their systems!!

BTW I can't find the actual PR from Chrysler. They DID however put out a BUNCH of other PRs this morning including one for the Jeep and one for the Chally and a few others:

http://www.media.chrysler.com/newsre...id=10812&mid=4
http://www.media.chrysler.com/newsre...id=11135&mid=8
http://www.media.chrysler.com/newsre...id=11030&mid=8

So riddle me this, WHY IS IT that I can find ALL of those PRs but NOT the one that Autonews and Detnews others have posted?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? (http://detnews.com/article/20110715/...355/1148/rss25)

It's NOT official yet, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!

THERE IS STILL HOPE!!! "WILL IT" to be $10K less!! COME ON GUYS!!

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

My dealer just called, they got "preliminary" pricing as reported in Autoweek. However, he said that he should get final pricing this PM and hopefully invoice pricing. He said that markups can be higher on specialty models so since we are working from invoice not MSRP maybe it won't be that bad.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I am not very happy with the pricing either, but really is $10K that much to throw your hands up and forget it? I hope most are just venting because if you plan to buy a $50K gas guzzling sports suv then $10K isn't that much to make you think twice. Everyone has their own cut off point, but for this vehicle it hasn't reached mine yet.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

So the 2010 SRT8 MSRP was $43,325 I would really like to hear from Jeep and the SRT8 group as to the justification for this $12k price increase. Simply absurd.

http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2010/...961/index.html

Looks like the Charger received a considerable price increase too....

2010: $38,180
2012: $46,660

bullshit.

I subscribe to that similar thought, but it's if we are talking $3-5k. Not $10k plus, more than 20% of the original expected price. But most of all it is about principle. I'm not paying $60k+ for a "Jeep." I'll go over to the Caddy dealer and buy a CTS-V at 0% on any amount I finance, plus GMS pricing if I am going to spend that much.
