Driving into work thought the same thing. They woulnt give all these magazines base models to test they would give them top of the line with everything in it and that's where the prices are coming from. I still have faith

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I never said I'm out, I said I'm out at the $60K price (loaded). I've also said SINCE THIS MORNING that these prices are loaded, as tested, etc... This is just how the reviewer world works, I know from experience...

That is what I am saying! When did a person interested in an SUV change to a sports car?? I would get an M3 or C63 long before a crappy Caddy.

Well i hope that is true about it being the price for a fully loaded one but the road and track article says that is it's base price.

I don't think anyone knows still. Car and Driver lists estimated (estimated base price: $50,000) as tested $54K

So, sorry, but you're wrong!
Yea and other SRTs can also change their suspension to tow 5000 pounds too right.

The WK2 SRT is the "better" of the other models

If the price sticks....Jeep has made its own segment.....its still $60k cheaper than a Cayenne turbo and $30K cheaper than a loaded cayenne s with a 300 hp 3.6l. You cant get ANY other SUV with this performance and technology for $60K.
Both the V and the SRT are specialty muscle cars. why in the world would you compare the SRT to an Escalade, that makes no sense. The market does not take kindly for a Chrysler product to cost over 50K. That is what doomed the SRT10 Ram and even the Viper.

I'm done posting about this. You guys keep living the dream of false hope regardless of the fact that the SRT group has failed you guys. For those that do buy them, GOOD. Keep them for a long time since they would become rare soon. I'm out.

That is my plan B if these prices don't go down by at least $7K. I am not paying over $50K for this, loaded. I can get a slightly used M3 E92 for a bit less, and with the rest I can tweak that to my liking. I'd rather have an SUV, but no other SUV inspires me like this SRT does so it's this or an M3 I think... Let's pray the pricing is wrong and I can go with my Plan A which is this Jeep I already have on order!!

Totally agree......
Is only fair to compare apples to apples, caddy to M5, SRT8 to cayenne turbo...
You either need an SUV or a sport sedan....make a decision people.....
Btw I have a Cayenne S for sale........anybody want buy it?
