On another note, what could the possible invoice price of the 55k base MSRP Wk2 SRT be?

Thanks

EDIT: Also forgot to mention I'm in Canada, I know we're screwed we'll be getting charged like 75k msrp base for the wk2 srt8, another reason why I can simply jump over the boarder to the US and purchase a used RR sport supercharged for 65ish, bring it all over and save money rather than purchasing a base wk2 srt8.

well...if your comparing used to new....then thats a new conversation. Sorry...I didnt see you say "used". Im talking new purchases.

The overland suspension even though it is air, is far cheaper in comparison than they overlands air suspension.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Just because its used all of a sudden makes its fit and finish and quality build of vehicles such as the RR supercharged, or X5M, and Cayenne turbo, etc, degraded? No it doesn't just means that I can get a vehicle that's worth a lot more for a substantial discount.

Anyways, still wondering about the invoice pricing, any guesses anyone? What was the difference in the 2010 model year with the invoice price and the msrp?

There is nothing wrong with that. I am a fan of used cars because I do not keep them very long so selling after a year or two I don't want to take the huge hit. Of course you still can't get an X5M or Porsche a few years old for the same price as the new Jeep SRT8.

I was referring to the RR sport supercharged, I'm looking at some 2010's for 65-68k. Also saw a 2010 X5M for 68k.

And I would guess not many will pay MSRP...I know I wont. I also figure that a VERY nice base 2012 Jeep SRT will be right around $50k after discounts etc. Also,.....the 730n is not the 730n in the previous gen SRt Jeep. Its the RHR...not the REN. You guys should do some browsinga nd eading in the wk2 non-srt forums here. Its BY FAR the BEST on the net. There lots of posts there that will relate to the 2012 SRT Jeep. Maybe Im stupid....but I see the value compared to other high performance SUV's.
Oh man, I'm in trouble now...

Over lunch, and after a few hours of deliberating a slightly used M3 as plan B and comparing that to the Jeep pricing (plan A), my wife has agreed that I might as well just get the Jeep even if it's a bit more and feels like a gouge... BUT we MUST get it for invoice or even employee pricing, esp. since it's loaded and that is like $6K on top of the $55K already!

The only thing I had to give up on my end was agree to take the family to Sea World again this Summer. I HATE going there since we already go like twice a year. I almost made it this year w/out going once, for the first time in 3 years, but now I've agreed to go again, in order to get this Jeep! Honestly though, I'm just glad my wife made it this easy on me. I think spending $50K on an M3 versus $55K for a discounted loaded Jeep, it seems worth it to spend $5K more to get what we truly want.

So, here we go...... (let the negotiations begin)

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I don't understand those saying this is a good deal? How on Earth can you say that? We are going from an 06-10 GCSRT that started below the same years GC Overlands, to one that is now 10K more then the current Overland. That, and the fit and finish is the same or better in the Overlands AND the price for the WKII other trims have dropped from the previous gen.

Folks.....It. Does. Not. Make. Sense.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

to me it does...your paying for the SRT brand, the technology etc. How much extra do you pay for the Turbo cayenne, the M of X5m or the AMG with Merc? The 06-10 SRt DID not have the luxury of the Overland IMO. This 2012 has much more ametities for the sport fan than the Overland. JMO.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I've decided this vehicle, in addition to being overpriced, is unecessary, obnoxious, and would be a huge mistake for me. Good luck to you all.
