Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

If the assembly of the SRT is at the Jefferson assembly plant then I'm worried, as of the video posted from FOX news about the Chrysler employees that were all caught drinking and smoking marijuana on the job during breaks. Are these the people building our vehicles that are supposed to keep us safe? At the same time this news is breaking everywhere Jeep is increasing prices on the vehicles that are being built at that very plant.

Maybe that a positive sign that the MSRP may be under review...

...and the rest of you guys should take it easy. There's no sense bickering back and forth. Chrysler representatives may be monitoring these boards and if so it would be better to provide them with logical insight into the price point that would attract most buyers. Is it 45K, 50K, 55K???

The 2012 SRT8 looks like it's going to be a great vehicle. Wait for final pricing then simply make a decision and move on (hopefully we'll all be moving forward with our current orders)

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

I just got back from test driving an M3. I told myself no way no how I am buying an overpriced BMW. I am sold on the Jeep.

After test driving it, I can honestly say, I'm still looking forward to the Jeep. I just hope I get it w/out being raked over the coals by Chrysler (pricing). We'll know more in ~< 2 days when production begins I'm hoping... and praying (and I'm an Atheist!)...

I'm going to take a stab here and say that IF the $54,470 was the MSRP FULLY LOADED no one would have any issues and we'd all be as happy as a kid in a candy store.

Another item that maybe Driehorst, Chrysler Group LLC, could assist with since our own inside guru doesn't even have info about: How come there are only 120 units, approximately, slated to be produced when production is suppose to begin IN LESS THAN 48HRS??? If they are short on parts, can't fill the orders fast enough, plan to send these out in increments with X weeks in between, what-have-you....can we get a reasoning? Most of us are tracking our builds, so it's not like we are sitting around in the dark not knowing when they should have been starting production.

Agreed. With the Lux group, DVD, SRT audio, etc, that's the MOST I thought it would be.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

+1 on the comments about the $54K as tested (fully loaded). That is WAY more reasonable. Still high, but I would buy it knowing where my money went. At $62K loaded, I'll be pulling back seat cushions looking for my $8K somewhere in that Jeep (and I won't ever find it)...

WHOA WHOA, where did you find this man?

Would be great if they would give us the same MSRP as the Americans, I mean our dollar is higher, and we pay 12% tax rather than 6-10% in the states, also we pay 3-4k gas guzzler/green levy on the SRT, while Americans don't.

That would be base Boston. However, I am very interested where Milous got that info from, please.
