USA = $49,970

There is no way that a Canadian MSRP base price of $54K can result in a 55,250 base price in the USA. NO WAY IN HELL.
By deductive reasoning, and simple mathematics the US price, based on the same 13% difference in price is =

Base 54995 (CN) x 13% discount = $47,845K....
Jeep Canada doesn't list the Summit on their site. I think you get a truer number by comparing the base price of both versus loaded with options.

US Overland Base $39,260
Canada Overland Base $49,995

Ruffly a 20% difference so...

Canada SRT8 $54,995
US SRT8 $43,995

It all equates to about a $10,000 or so difference. I believe the original number of $43,895 was the actual base MSRP all along.

Thanks Schleprock, now it sounds about right considering I got my Canadian price loaded up at 62-63k.

I hope that you are right on the $1,000 green levy. I will check with my dealer tomorrow and see if it has changed on my order. It is my understanding that the green levy is a federal charge and not based on province.

He called me at noon so maybe the green levy wasn't completely finalized and it has since changed on my order.

And if it would, they certainly have to explain themselves. Charging more for a Jeep in the US than in Canada would be, well, an insult. Especially after their bail-out history.

A fully loaded 2012 WKII SRT8 at $55K MSRP would be 100% justified and I don't think anybody would complain about it.

Refer to this: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/et/et...h-2011-eng.pdf

Shows the new challenger 392 6.4L with a 0$ green levy, the 5.7L hemi has a $1,000. I showed that to my dealer and that's what he confirmed stating the new SRT Jeep has a $1,000 green levy.

As for the fully loaded price of 55k, I'm with that I believe that sounds about right, MY2012 is coming out to 62k loaded so 55k US sounds spot on.

GT500's are kinda like the SRT pricing and production schedulings....nowhere to be found.
Dude.....Ive been to MD and Delaware...about as podunk as it gets.....LOL. I am 20 minutes to 2 hours from major cities(lexington, louisville and cincy)...which is just what i want. Good living, clean air and great schools. Talk to anyone that knows me on here(frankie in CT, Joe in NYC, Kyle in NH)...they would love to move here!

Anyway...not many gt500 fans in the part of the country....more euro crowd and Lexus

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - MSRP Pricing

Well I wish they would tell us the price soon because I need to order something soon and I don't want to take a winter delivery.

Going down to CT today and test driving a S4. If I only new what the SRT was going to cost it would certainly help in the decision making.

I did try out an Overland, many things to like, especially the price but....

Canada's order banks were open about a week before ours? So maybe next Friday will be our pricing date.
