ok guys...my emails have went straight to the top of the SRT division and they have responded! They have asked me to communicate with current owners(wk2 srt) and future owners concerns to them for the 2012 Jeep SRT8. Im gonna be honest here guys...if we want answers...we have to walk a fine line and be courteous...or we will get 0 answers! One thing...THEY(SRT) love our forums here and they PLAN on supporting our forums with chats and SRT involvement! This is great news as we will have a direct connection to the SRt group. But we have to be cordial to them and repsonsible with our questions and concerns. PLEASE....no fowl language and NO beating a dead horse on certain subjects(pricing...lol) So...if there is a question that the forums need desperate answers on...please list them ASAP! I want to get a bulleted list of concerns/questions to them ASAP!

yeah...we can forget the PCM tuning issue.......

heres a few Ive collected from the fiorums...

strong concern from gen 1 Jeep SRT8 owners over pricing increase in US. why the difference in Canadian pricing?

when will production start and why the delay? Will Canadian orders be built as well?

will sold orders be built before dealer orders? How about allocations? Some dealers claim to have 12 coming and some dealers cant get 1.

why was lux 2 and audio increased in price and added as standard?

will other SRT models get same price base increases?

affiliate pricing...will it be honored?

preferred service and dealers for SRT owners?

previous owner loyalty programs specific to SRT owners?

You have my questions covered. Thanks for taking this on.

-Late availability is indicated for the towing package. Does that affect orders in D1 that already have a VIN? If so what is the anticipated date of availability?
-What is the residual value % going to be on a typical 3 year 36,000 mile lease?
-Is 3,800 going to be the production limit each year?
-Were any of the price increases due to changes in the SRT8 specs as posted on the Jeep web site? If so, what are they?

Scott, those are some quesitons that come to me right away. Thanks for doing this!

And I also want to echo the question above about the residuals...I'm planning to lease my ordered SRT8 as a company vehicle & need to know lease rates ASAP so I can budget accordingly
You can scratch the leasing questions, as an entire seperate company determines all the financial information on leases.

Will eventual replacement of the suspension springs affect the operation of the Billstein adaptive system? Specifically, is there a "pre-load" that we'd have to worry about?

Why the claims of it being faster when the magazine results have been lackluster so far. Did they have to de-tune the engine once production approached?

I would also second the request for some sort of preferential service treatment, maybe even regular GC's standard as loaner vehicles for warrant work that will be more than a day for Jeep SRT owners.

How does scheduling of retail production units work? I'd like to know why I'm not in PR or D1 when people with the same color/options who ordered later than me are.

Ask about including Maintenance costs to compare with BMW or Porsche service/warranty.
Ask about other color options with the new Paint factory being built?
Ask if there will be any previous owner loyalty programs specific to SRTs offered on the new models.

I would like to know how many units are allocated for the Canadian market also will the pricing remain the same for that market? Why is it that a white color is not offered for the wk2 srt8? Also are any improvements in performance planned for production meaning between the pre-production units tested recently in the media and the final product that will eventually be delivered to the end customer.

Just because SRT owner's paid 16k over a Summit why should you get preferred treatment over a Laredo, Limited, Overland or Summit owner? I get the exact same treatment that a base model 1 or 3 series get's at my BMW dealership and that's how it should be.

Why is the supercharger option going to be available on every other SRT, but the Jeep?

The Jeep WK SRT8 was the second fastest (behind the Viper). Why has it now lost that spot in the SRT line up?

Any chance on bringing back Direct Connection?

Any chance on making things a little more performance mod friendly? If you need any more proof of the market that is available Woodward Dream Cruise is going on this weekend.

To take the special treatment one step further, is there any plan to "SRT Qualify" a dealer. Along with that the SRT qualified dealers would have to commit to a higher level of service for the SRT customers, including loaner cars, free scheduled maintenance, etc.

Why is the Canadian version so cheap relative to the last Canadian priced WK SRT/8?

ok...thanks guys! I will submit the rest of the questions for a later date......

HOPEFULLY an SRT engineer chat coming in the next 3-4 months!!!!!!!
