Just got off the phone with my dealer and him and myself went throught the order sheet and he placed an order for a black one with Dual Pane Sunroof, Tow package and Harmon Kardon system for me. He told me not to expect it before Sept sometime. Next 3 months are going to drive me nuts. He did mention that all colors were showing on his system available to order.

Did the order banks open in Canada before USA? I thought June 8th was the first day to order?

Cool thank you for the info. How much is everyone normally putting down on the deposit? Is it refundable if you decide not to purchase....because if my order is held up and one shows up at another dealer I will snag it if I can. :)

Preliminary estimates by the car mags pegged it at $46K, probably without options.

IMHO, if it tops 50K they will lose a lot of sales and I don't think they can afford to do that. I think a lot of the issues people have complained about are to keep the price in line by reusing as much of the standard production parts as possible.

My guess it it comes in right around the price of a V8 4X4 Overland without any options or around $45K.

In Australia, they are going to be $90,000+ and the way our $ is against the US$, it will be just short of US$100,000, so be thankful you are not paying our prices.
I will be seriously looking at getting a SRT8 for my car. 2 x WK2's will look nice in the garage

Damn sorry to hear man! Damn import taxes, tell your government to ease up haha! Maybe itd be cheaper to have one personally imported from the US. Pay $50k and then you have $40k for shipping and all the legal b.s.? Or is it impossible to legalize it? You guys do drive LH right lol

We have right hand drive in Oz, so importing one from the USA, is not possible. They will also not allow you to import a car that can be purchased locally, unless you own it overseas for a year.
We seem to pay much more for cars here than the USA. You cannot get a X5 BMW for under $100k. We apparently will be seeing the SRT8 in 2012

Don't believe that it is a typo, I just entered an order into the system and it accepts and shows "Brilliant Black" (PXR).

Also, red has been changed from "Deep Molten Red Pearl Coat" (PR8) to "Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl Coat" (PRP). No ETA given.

No red.....this absolutely sucks. Had everything in place with dealer to order today.

Jeep realized the confusion between all of the colors, so the decision was made to mix all 5 of the red-related paints that they have used in the WK series to come up with a single red color. The name may be hard to remember, but if you say it quickly 5 or 6 times in a row you'll have it memorized:

"Deep Inferno Molten Cherry Red Rock Tinted Crystal Pearl Coat" (PD7)
