Interesting...how can you shave 4lbs off of a replica of a forged wheel? I would like to know the process and whoever is doing it?
Are the replicas cast or forged? 4lbs from a forged wheel is one hell of a lot of material to save...which would bring up the next question of strength? In terms of weigh I was also talking about the tire/wheel assembly...tires are heavy too and upsizing by 2 will cause some weight gain. Again, we are talking unsprung which has a much different effect than putting some 300lb passenger in the car...I have read that adding 10lbs of unsprung weight can have the same effect as adding 100 lbs. of static in the car in terms of acceleration and the torque force - multiply X 4 - although I am no physics professor :-) Just something to be careful of....
