Can't wait to see what the works does to this thing. 8 seconds? Lol.

Yeah. I'd rather watch a race when the cars turn left and right rather than go straight of just turn left.

Lol. I'm no hater. I like 1/4 mile times but I like track times better.

Can anyone give a guess on the possibilities of speed, HP, times, etc when the WK2 SRT gets modified?

hard to say.....different drivers have made aHUGE difference on the wk1 SRT. But it seems that this time was done by just putting in sport mode and mashing the pedal to the floor! Im sure once a launch is figured out...times will drop. Maybe some gen1 owners will stop in and add their time differences from stock to "tuned and modded"

We all know the WK is a 9 second Jeep. Just curious as to how far the WK2 will drop.

I'm telling you. I see 8's.

$$$ is the only limiting factor there! Unless you are talking about stock chassis/drivetrain/motor then its another story. But the WK SRT's that are in 9s/10s are hardly stock though either, most guys are running aftermarket motors and built drivetrains and even some suspension work, so if you're talking just anything in a jeep body then theres no limit!

Brian "BJB" had a build going for the 7 second class his DBDCRMA. So yeah if you have $250k to dump into your Jeep you can get into the 6s if you want lol

Man, have times changed. When I was in high school back in the 80's, if you told me an SUV would be seconds faster that the shiny new Vette I would have thought you were crazy. Although, I did think we would be "flying" cars by the year 2000 back then!

Check out these 0-60 and 1/4 mile times from stock Vettes in the past.

I wonder how restrictive the stock exhaust is. I'd like to see what happens with some aftermarket exhausts. I think I even remember the SRT engineers mentioning something about it being restrictive in the chat. Maybe an aftermarket exhaust will help increase the torque and its jump off the line.

i have been trying to chase down the conditions needed to run a 12.97. After running the truck 4 times on my own my personal best is 13.3 in the 1/4 and 4.8 0-60. I caught up with someone at the track the day the srt8 ran a 12.97. 100 octane gas. I have a day planned at atco nj next saturday. im hopping for a cold day and 100 octane gas. and may be i'll have a 12.9 video to post!
