Build date 2/18/15, no 6-5 downshift issue. Also, just had the most recent flash done too, seems to have smoothed things out a bit more.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

My replacement was delivered to the dealership yesterday. I'm now just waiting for ISG to finish their paperwork.

Sorry, I'm sure your disapointed... I do share your position, my 14 SRT is wonderful other than this darn trans issue, I would have returned it under the lemon law, but the 15's seem to have the same problems, and I can't think of any other vehicle in this price range that offers me what I want, so like you, I have chosen to just keep it & drive it, if they come up with a fix or the trans fails, then I will go back in and deal with it again, otherwise I will just live with it, it's not that terrible

Re: 2014/2015 - Do you have a noticeable jerk on 6-5 shifts + a clunk?

I don't have the exact date in front of me, but the replacement Red Vapor I got was built back in November (actually before my lemon'd one that was built in December). I knew I'd be gambling a little bit, but this one was fully loaded with the Red Vapor package and I ended up getting it for the same price as my first one (which wasn't a Red Vapor and didn't have the rear entertainment). Dealer had been sitting on it forever...they had it marked up to $80K! I don't think they really cared when it sold so I just called and made an offer and they took it.

So far I'm going to live with any issues that I can't fix myself until there's known fixes (like the tranny thing). As is typical with FCA, I have a few body panels that don't line up great, crooked exhaust, loose threads here and there, etc. LOL. I've already managed to fix 90% of it myself in the garage though, so we're moving in the right direction.

And like others have said, if there's was ANY competition to this vehicle remotely in the price range, I probably wouldn't still be messing around with these kind of quality issues and would have moved to another brand.

By the way, the poll results at EXACTLY 50/50 have the problem/don't have the problem is pretty hilarious...what a mess.

P.S. the Red Vapor package is AWESOME...the red, which I thought I would hate, is not the garish color that it seems to show up as in EVERY photo, in person it's much deeper, almost a wine color, and it's fantastic.
Congrats man!
That is awesome. Post up some pics when you get a chance!

Re: 2014/2015 - Do you have a noticeable jerk on 6-5 shifts + a clunk?

So the new Red Vapor behaves identically to the one I turned in, with the 6-5 + clunk after fully heated up/highway driving...pretty much as I expected. To be honest this is the 3rd or 4th one I've driven now (2015) that have all been identical...I am starting to become extremely suspicious that they ALL do this and people just have varying levels of sensitivity to it.

Regardless, whatever, I'm going to drive the truck...when someone does manage to have a single repair procedure that clearly eliminates the problem, I look forward to them sharing it so I can take it in straightaway.

Re: 2014/2015 - Do you have a noticeable jerk on 6-5 shifts + a clunk?

Man,....that really sucks.
I wonder if it could be the really fine/light transmission fluid they use?
I also wonder if it is the U-joint on the drive shaft? Not the drive shaft, but the u-joint on the drive shaft.
Good luck going forward rlarsen.

Who knows. I'm going back to Audi after I run the Jeep into the ground.
