I'm very keen to get the full leather interior on an SRT for Australia. I've recently placed an order for one, though i don't have an E number yet. Do you know if there's an order code for the full leather in Torque Black? You suggest that it will become standard for the Euro models, does that imply that it would be a no cost option for AU spec cars?

I'm wondering if I should try to 'pause' my order and wait until the option becomes available.

Any new information you might have about this option would be very much appreciated. Are there any pics available yet? Is it the same style as the current part leather seats in the SRT? Is it the same leather as the existing leather bits on the SRT seats?

Usually manufacturers charge EXTRA for the alcantara seats, but Jeep is doing the opposite . And over a grand at that. What the hell are they using? Chinchilla leather? Curious to see pictures too. And for the 8-sp tranny alone, I wouldn't buy a '13 SRT8 now. These things scream on the highway, with the accompanying dismal mileage. Plus the nav screen and interface seems much better. I might like the current exterior better, but the changes are too many to look the other way.

I'm waiting for the rear seat Bluray to place my order. Anybody know any news on that?

Nada. Even the 9/01 press release doesn't mention it...

Production start delayed until late August. Might be looking at early September for order banks to open.

Anyone else notice that the sideview mirrors are not powered? Considering all the standard options, I thought this omission was odd.

By powered I assume you mean do not fold in right? yes that is odd just as there is no lane departure warning

I did not realize the 2014 SRT did not have lane departure warning. My wife's 2012 Overland has it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT8 - Features & Changes

if by lane departure warning you mean the little arrows in the mirror lighting up when another vehicle is in the lane to either side of you and then the Jeep beeping at you if you put on your turn signal...then yes....it has lane departure warning. I have a 14 SRT and it does this exact thing.

Exactly. The owners guide (page 123) states " Power Folding Side Mirrors - If Equipped". There's a pic of the drivers side door panel where the folding mirror button is located between the left and right mirror adjustment buttons. So I gather that all but the SRT GC versions have this as a standard or optional feature. Not a big deal, but it's sort of annoying to have to reach out on both sides of the car to physically pull the mirrors in. I must be missing something as to why it's not an included option on an SRT.

Scared the hell out of me the first time the audible beeps rang out. It 's a good idea, except for the fact that where I drive, in NYC, the traffic is such that you can virtually never change lanes without a car in your "blind spot"", so the beep alarm is going to get annoying very soon.
