We have three cell companies Canada wide and then a handful of others that are owned by one of the three. So it appears like we have 5-10 companies, but in reality - three. Rogers (largest), Bell and then Telus.
Telus and Bell both piggyback off Rogers in some areas and Rogers is terrible, on a good day. To put in in perspective - Rogers to Canadians is At&T to Americans.
in some cities, unstoppable. In other locations, one bar is hard to achieve.
Keeping in mind the population of Canada (34 million) is less people than the state of California (38 million) so no real competition up here for major cell companies to come in. No infrastructure to provide crazy fast speeds etc.
