That 2011 e 550 cabriolet is fully loaded cost way more than 65,000.00 us,you see the picture I change the wheels to two tone color MB wheels black and high sheen.
Sigh. You just don't get it.
Every place you order, there is tax. Every place has salespeople trying to make their cut. Doesn't change anything. Nobody is going on and on about paying with cash and nobody cares. We're here to have fun and talk SRT.
That said - If you paid 97k for a 2011 e550 Cab... - you may have been overcharged - badly
Do a simple search in Auto Trader
as an example - I can find a 2012 e550 Cabriolet for 64 used. Others in area of 77 k with options and newer I might add.
On the official Mercedes site for Canada - a brand new 2013 starts at 69k. They start at 65k in the States. The dollar value isn't that different, the Canadian dollar is stronger than the American dollar and has been for some time - but yes, cars are generally more pricey here in Canada by a few thousand.
Heck, paying cash as you put it, you could driven into the States and bought and saved a ton. Sure you pay duty/gst at border bring it back but who cares? You still would have said a bundle. Mercedes warranty is North America wide as long as dealer
in Canada approves the car is in good working order, so you'd have had warranty as well.
Whatever works for you man. Just pointing out this is an SRT forum.
btw, today I bought my lunch with cash. whaaat whaaaat
I'm playing. Simmer down.
