Re: 2014 Jeep SRT Diablo Trinity...first impressions!

I have been told there are thousands of cals DS does not have access to but it comes down to how much you need to access for your specific tuning needs. Just cuz diablo doesn't have full access does not mean they can't fully tune your rig to its fullest potential, so for the most of us you should be good for the ones that want to go nuts well that may be a different story. I was told this by a tuner not on DS's payroll. I'm sure if Chrysler wants to find out if you have a tune there are signs of someone being in there, may not be proof you have a tune but some discrepancies to where they could void your warranty.

Diablosport has avoided the question of a Revision or Flash counter whenever I ask them about it, and I can't believe Chrysler wouldn't be a step ahead of the aftermarket tuners.
That is correct, the older PCM's have no counter but GPEC's do have a register in ROM that counts how many times the memory is accessed.
You better believe Chrysler knows everything if they dig deep enough with CDA,,, they write the code they should know something....

Now what is correct is the dealer by themselves have no idea whats happening and have no way to find out, but if a Chrsler Powertrain Core engineer looks at the code they will find it.

It all boils down to will Chrysler send a engineer out to download the PCM memory at the dealer, or have the tech do a PCM upload to Chrysler corporate via the internet with WiTech.

And some modules like the CCN (instrument panel) has a 4 limit flash after that it's dead.

ABS has a flash limit of 10 times, then it's dead and needs to be replaced.

The PCM according to Chrysler's vendor spec can have 1000 flash minimum guarantee... however anytime you flash the PCM it could take a crap ....it's a gamble

Well Scott you no if you really spin the tires the speedo will spool up and as soon as it hits 6200 its will shift to second and you may of only moved 10 ft lol. Now if the tires hooked then i might say the 3.5 is a legal time. Now also if the tires you have on now are 1/2 shorter than the stockers the speedo will also read 60 when your really doing 57 or so unless you used the trinity to correct the tire size dff so the speedo will read correct BUT from what i have seen the tire size corrector in trinity isnt working.

meh...60 mph vs. 58.82. But the replicas in 22' are heavier...so maybe that evens things out.

Re: 2014 Jeep SRT Diablo Trinity...first impressions!

Not saying I don't believe it here man wish I could be in the 3's to 60 let alone 3.5 but take your best 1/4 of 12.2 when you hooked at the track. I know you said you did not get a print out of your full pass, which is fine, every one I know that runs 12.2 in the 1/4 runs a 7.8 in the 1/8 maybe a 7.78-7.79 depending. Your fastest 1/8 on the EVIC is 7.4, the EVIC does not stop counting till you hit an 1/8 mile so even if you didn't go to a full 1/8 it would keep counting till you did resulting in a slower time if you let off, that puts your 1/4 in the 11.7 range. This is why I question how accurate things are here. I have heard the tunes on the wk2 are more dialed in from the factory so yeah I'd say you ran a solid 12.2 no question, if you got a print out of your track time I'd bet tht the 1/8 mile time would be a 7.8 not the 7.4 on the EVIC like we see. So knowing that bit of info I'd say the EVIC is off on the 0-60 also. Unless your jeep just falls on its face the last 1/8 mile which I doubt is happening. Not grasping at straws just trying get things a little more reasonable, Just sayin....

There are no "registers" in ROM. ROM is Read Only Memory. You don't store anything changeable in ROM (like a counter). And while there is a counter, that's useless for "tamper detection" as FLASH erase/reprogram cycles do fail and have to be retried, which also increments this.

While there are ways to check for tampering, this really isn't one of them.

Not true in either case. Some previous revisions of these modules had hardware and bootloader faults which could make them difficult (and sometimes impossible) to reprogram. This is not accurate as a blanket statement however.

Re: 2014 Jeep SRT Diablo Trinity...first impressions!

I intalled diablo tune 1 week ago.
Really, I didn't mark a big difference.
Diablo is a great stuff to make real power tune, like Stroker or Charger...
