Re: 2014 SRT oil change...

Sorry guys, I did restart this thread with the below post, but unfortunately it was once again hijacked by Laredo and his idiotic nonsense

Took it to my friends garage who has a hoist, oil filter had oil sitting at base, gave it a clean, off hoist, hard run, back on hoist and oil there again. We did this four times, on the third there was no longer any oil, bone dry, we did a fourth time for good measure. We concluded that residual oil makes its way to top of new fliter when being screwed in place and sits in the rim and slowly makes its its way down until no more oil exists.

I don't know if this helps anyone that has had problems with the mopar filters, but this is my experience, filter still dry with no more leaks.

I'll try the Mopar filter and report if it develops a leak.

Is Mobil1 0w40 full synthetic ok to use?

Mobil 0W40 syn. will be fine and you could even wait another 1500 miles.

Re: 2014 SRT oil change...

Steve and I have been discussing his post above via PM. Any know any advantage to the filter above? Way I figure...the K&N gold filter I use is $13x 2 per year=$26 per year. To save any money with the above filter would take almost 10 years of filter changes.
