Re: 2015 exhaust choices

Nathanm where areyou in AUS?

If your in SYD, join the Sydney SRT Club on facebook (my page) or if your in VIC join the Melbourne SRT Club. Plenty of members in each and lots of different exhausts/intakes etc. Most of us in SYD would be happy for you to try/hear our systems. We only have one GT Haus in our club, and I personally have an xpipe straight to Borla Atak (yes it does drone a little bit) but is loud all the time. It's fun for the meets and cruises, but I will be changing soon to another setup.

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

I have a 14

And a magnaflow going on in the morning

I also do not have MDS

Yay for me!

My car had a 2015 factory exhaust, and had MDS

And I had the shits with it

Did lots of testing and 0.5L/100km on the open road the MDS saved me vs the tune... Wow, sounded like poo, now has more horsepowers, giddy up!

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

I'm getting it next week, as a baseline for an eventually custom job.

I'll install it soon and will be planning modifications during the winter.

When I get a chance I'll get a vid online

Do not watch the official magnaflow video on YouTube

I have no idea what's going on there but it sounds terrible, really bad, nothing like it actually sounds

Best way I can describe it is it's not overly loud, and if it was a sound system, stock is some tweeters and door speakers, the magnaflow is that and a couple of subwoofers... It's got a nice deep tone

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

My Magnaflow is also on its way. I'll see if I can find some decent gear to record it.

Yes

But I also had drone fitted as standard, I have a 2014 with a 2015 exhaust

With MDS off its a million times better

Drone is at low rpm with load, 1000-1500rpm

At speed it's fine 60-80-100km/h it's all good.

More noticeable as I work shiftwork, when I drive during the day I don't notice it much, but too/from work in the early hours with no traffic on the roads and no radio on etc... I notice it a bit...

I can live with it though.

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

Ok thanks, by chance did you look at a DPM exhaust? I see he's in your area, apparently there good and not too loud. I haven't heard them, just wondering if you might have?

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

Yeah I've seen it, and heard it pull up, sounds nice.

There's one on a car at Essendon jeep that's for sale

Cost 2x the price of my magnaflow though when I asked, $2600
My magnaflow cost me $1300

Re: 2015 exhaust choices

Wow, that's a lot. I guess it depends where you are.

I paid less than $900 USD for mine, in canada.

Cheers,
Ollie
