I live in the US and I have had rear fog lamps installed on my 2011 and 2014 Summit and it was discovered that when I purchased my 2015 SRT, the rear fog lamps from Mopar was installed using the parking light and not appropriately which is by a kit and new switch.
Well, I have had the kit installed and now the switch and they still don't work. The service department at my dealer then tell me that this is typically an export install and that they need to "research" how to make these lights work correctly without connecting to the parking light. They told me that it should never have been done that way by the previous technician as it technically VOIDS the warranty.
So here we are. Over two weeks and I have paid for MOPAR rear fog lamps and I am waiting for the service department to figure this out. The switch is a little different where the button you push in has two lights representing front and rear fog lamps however only the front turn on.
My question to you all is those that have this functionality, how do they turn on? The service department mentioned there maybe some code that they need to assign to my VIN which will activate the lights?
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
