2015 srt8

Just pulled the trigger.

Bailed on my c7Z06 in favor of keeping my C6Z06 and updated my daily driver

Traded in my 2014 overland for the 15 SRT8

Someone give me a quick crash course on some must have mods. Not going crazy Bc My vette is modded. but wouldn't mind adding a few extra HP

Thanks
steve

Re: 2015 srt8

I have a 2008 Z06...modded to well over 1200 crank HP. It's fast, but not having any real traction, can't put the power down.

I added a 2.9 liter Whipple blower to my 2015 SRT...to get about 700 HP (Crank). Wasn't cheap, but it's a whole different truck now. It's obviously faster than my Z off the line, for about the first few hundred feet - LOL

Ideally I would love to do the blower, but im 28 have a Z06 an SRT and a mortgage. May be a little steep considering the down payment etc on this truck.

Headers+ intake + tune worth it? or are the headers a waste?

I have been playing around with LSX motors since I have been 17 so I know exact what combo works best. Mopar performance is totally new to me

Re: 2015 srt8

Few things to think about:

1) You can't tune a 15 ECM - no one has unlocked them as of yet. I had to purchase a 14 and have that one tuned.

2) The intake/ headers/ exhaust/ tune would (if you could even tune a 2015 ECM) still set you back a few thousand...and the measly gains wouldn't really be noticeable IMO. You'd see at best, 20-30 RWHP - maybe. You won't feel that when your base HP is 475.
