Many of us want to pick up some (or all) of the Red Vapor specialty parts... If you look through some VERY long threads you will find most part #s but I thought it would be nice to have them all in one place...

I am listing CURRENT MSRP... We have supporting vendors here who sell them cheaper or a Google Search can yield a good 20 - 30% off in most cases.

First, for more pics & Info, check out here: Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 2015 SRT8 Red Vapor edition

I am really running into a wall on those last few part #s....

It's probably not worth the cost to swap out the seat covers or door panels for most anyway but the arm rest may be worth it and either way, I would still love to have a more complete list.

If anyone has those #s, please let me know.

#4 ·
You probably don't want to know how much it would cost to change those door panels, armrest, and seats ;)

Glad its helping some of you out!

I can now confirm, the 2015 NON Vapor models do NOT have the correct 5 pin connector for the illuminated airbag either.

I was hoping it would be plug and play but nope. Oh well, CWGrizzwold's instructions were spot on.

All is well.

hi,
can you please tell me where I can buy the backlit airbag part? I try the part number you provided on buymoparpartsnow.com, and found the part, but it didn't specified that if its an SRT part or as matter of fact the backlit one! should I get that part? appreciate it.

thanks,

#18 ·
That's most definitely the correct part number. 5RX161XRAD

I have it in my Jeep right now.

I picked it up from a dealership in NC for $260... Unfortunately they weren't willing to ship it.

Can someone confirm the air bag part #. The number listed here is different to Grizz's instructions. The one I just received looks the same as my original?

Im gonna be very pissed off if they sent the wrong one!!!

Just look at the connector. The lighted airbag will have a light blue 5 pin connector

The only difference in the part number is the additional 001 on the end which is not required.

Look at the back of the one received, you will have two round connectors which are the air bag connectors. You should also have a 5 pin connector, this is the horn and illumination. If the latter was only a two pin (horn only) that would be the incorrect one, if 5, good to go.

Thanks Daniel454 and Scottina06, I have the blue 5 pin connector.... phew.

BTW if you look at the (excellent) instructions from Grizz its actually missing a "1" after 5RX, (5RX61XRAD001 – backlit SRT airbag from 2015 Red Vapor edition JGC).
It's only a minor omission but sometimes part numbers can vary by such minor changes.

All good now, will fit it this weekend :)

White.

I have a 2012 and wanted to put the red vapor in. The dealer said he can do but each seat will cost 1500 and each door panel will cost me 1500. Does this sound right to you?
Not 100% sure but yeah, those prices are not surprising.

I still say it's not surprising. A package is always a lot cheaper than the separate prices.

Especially since this was a limited run of many of these parts so they are going to be pretty expensive (relative to the regular versions anyway) to build and stock.

3 of the wheels are more than the package.

The steering wheel, air bag, floor mats and the black emblems / rings together are almost the price of the package...

All in all it'll probably cost 3 times the package price to "build it" on your own.

The price you received are probably the retail prices but still not a huge surprise to me and I will be surprised if you can get more than 15 - 20% less than that at the most.

Best idea will be to wait a few months until someone totals a few of these and pick them up from a junk yard or eBay.

I think dealers try to get over on you. But i wait till it pops up on ebay.

Has anyone ordered the upper grill inserts part number 68261150AA? I ordered mine from a supplier and they appear to have been painted black. They also do not have the OEM Mopar part number decals the other parts do. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what they received. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
