New Red Vapor special edition package brings unique interior and exterior content

The new Red Vapor special edition package introduces unique exterior and interior styling cues to enhance the distinct, performance-oriented looks of the award-winning SUV and is available on three body colors: Redline Red Pearl Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat and Bright White Clear Coat.

On the exterior, standard five-spoke 20-inch “Goliath” wheels are finished in Black Chrome with bright chrome center caps, while additional gloss black appointments include the SRT liftgate badge, Jeep hood and rear light bar badges, Grand Cherokee door badge, lower grille bezels and upper grille inserts.

Inside, the exclusive SRT logo on the high-performance designed steering wheel is backlit and the steering wheel bezel changes to an anodized silver finish. Light black chrome replaces the standard bright chrome and Radar Red accents are used throughout the cabin to enhance the luxurious, muscular interior.

Under the hood, engine beauty covers trimmed in dark red complete the special edition package.

Hope the black SRT badge is avail soon to order...

Like the package, mixed on the wheels, too bad they didn't black out the silver trim around the windows....

Almost wants me to upgrade - but put way too much into mine to want to start over... plus I may get the hellcat charger come spring to add a little variety to the stable...

Ok, in random order:
  • Nice wheels, better than in chrome IMO,
  • Nice seats, although all black is OK too and a bit more subdued,
  • The lit-up "SRT" on the wheel is a bit gimmicky, no regrets on that,
  • The blacked-out emblems are a nice touch,
At the end of the video, wondering what the "thingy" on the ceiling is, and what the switches (are these switches?) on the side of the passenger seat are...?

The thingy on the ceiling is 1 of 4 mics for the new active noise control system that kicks on when MDS engages. The things on the sides of the seat are audio/video/hdmi ports for the rear seat screens.

Did they put a mic by the passenger seat? I know right now if I'm on the phone and my wife talks, the person on the other end can't hear the passenger...

Maybe a mic to help with the active noise reduction feature

The switches on the seat have my interest...

Rear seat entertainment package. If you look close there is a yellow (video) and red/white (audio) inputs on the side of the seat. The screen flips up to view, heres a better view

Best MPG I have ever seen is 19.2 on a pure 250 mile freeway hike, with Eco.
Ive gotten 20mpg with my 5spd, calculated out the same as well. 67mph, cruise and ACC on.

Maybe i'm a bit tacky myself but I like the backlit SRT emblem on the steering wheel (Milous can I order it lol).

I don't mind the red seats.... would they match up with DCR I wonder? Glad they didn't add the bright red accents shown in the Wrangler.

Agree the window chrome should have been black chromed too.

Nice package, and if I was buying now I would order it, but only 1yr into my own car i'm hoping for the Jeep Hellcat in a year or three :)

I think the ANC is not really for the SRT owners. I mean who uses the ECO mode on their car ?
I have owned mine for 6 months and never used that placebo button. I did not buy my car for the fuel economy:cool:

Eco mode still kicks in even if the button is not activated. By pushing the button it allows Eco mode to kick in sooner and start off in different gears.

I rarely use the Eco button but there are times I hear it kick into eco mode.

Pretty sure Milous confirmed this somewhere on this site earlier on.

I'm same as you enforcer...but I've made 4 1000 mile trips and used it all 4 times for a 22.4 mpgs average ov we 4000 miles. 476 miles per tank from Kentucky to south Florida the last 3 months. Ac....all the way too.

The Eco button is good for daily driving in traffic starts in 2nd and is a little smoother IMHO

I have been on the hunt for a gloss black SRT badge for mine with no luck whatsoever. Stopped by the dealer parts dept. today to see if they had a part number in the system for the gloss black badge from the 2015 Red Vapor edition. They do not. They did say however that if I gave them a VIN# from one of the Red Vapor editions that they may be able to locate a part number from whcih I might be able to place an order. So, anyone know a way to get a VIN# from one of these bad boys? Thanks..

Thanks. I may have to go that route but was hoping for the quicker, easier, cheaper way with OEM. BTW, your beast looks more and more amazing every time I see your pics.

Yes to spider monkey wheels and not a fan of the seats. But I love the steering wheel and badges. Also I was under the impression mpg under the Eco mode was much better than 20mpg. That's like 5-6mpg lower than advertised hwy.

Well for me personally Scott in the last 2 mnths I have done 2 trips of 1600klm first trip without ECO mode on and done 750klm a tank averaging 12.3mpg second trip last weekend same road and conditions with ECO mode on 750klm averaging 11.9mpg ?? So I don't no if my ECO mode is working or ECO mode is a load of crap .. I mean I can see a little bit of different rpm but I'm still getting the same amount of klm's ? ,I should mention both trips I was using the ACC so I barley touched the brakes or accelerator pedal ? Anyway just my personal thoughts on it :)
