Re: 2016 Jeep SRT new features....updated as we learn

Thanks Milous, so it sounds like a nice rotor upgrade, I assume the calipers are the same and the rotors could be fit to a 2015 model for instance? That would be awesome when time comes for me to do brakes!

Slotted not cross drilled ...

Depends on the cost of the option vs just swapping out yourself

Re: 2016 Jeep SRT new features....updated as we learn

I wonder how much the "upgrade" option will cost. It will have no practical effect on braking, only wank factor. Any of us can upgrade the rotors to have the same result.

Possible wank factor, but also weight factor. Info says next model will lose 50lbs?

Re: 2016 Jeep SRT new features....updated as we learn

Almost definitely going to wait for a '16 at this point. Still wanna know what this new feature that Milous was hinting at is all about. "V..." Still can't quite figure it out!

Re: 2016 Jeep SRT new features....updated as we learn

I'm hoping the "V" Milous is hinting about is vectoring, as in vectoring the torque from side to side between the rear wheels. It makes a pretty substantial difference in the few Porsche Macans and Cayennes that I have driven that were equipped with it, really makes the car tuck in and explode out of corners!

Re: 2016 Jeep SRT new features....updated as we learn

Makes sense. Even HSV's here in Australia have Torque Vectoring. I personally wouldn't mind just seeing a bare bones basic Jeep SRT without all the bells and whistles. All it'd need is a big engine, a big tachometer in the center, straight through (loud) exhaust with headers and good brakes and maybe air conditioning. Keep it simple. A true muscle car.

No on vectoring... "V" is a new multi-function feature but does not have anything to do with your road/track driving/handling experience...

"V" = Video? As in 360 degree cameras to give an overhead view of the Jeep for parking; etc. that feed into the 8.4 display?
