Re: 2016 SRT vs 2017 SRT -VOTE!-

I think one my first posts on this forum entertained the idea of swapping parts from a summit to an SRT (basically a sin, I know). But if you could have the 2017 SRT with the front fascia of the 2017 summit (chrome accents not included), would you consider it?

Personally, I don't find the redesign of the SRT as pleasing to the eye as the 2014-2016 models. But if I were to take delivery of a 2017 SRT, I'd probably start the engine, drive home, and shut up.

I vote 2016 with Night

It was between 2016 Night and ordering a 2017... wasn't digging the front of the 17 much and loved the NIGHT!

Re: 2016 SRT vs 2017 SRT -VOTE!-

I won't be offended if you roll your eyes at this one. In my opinion, the 2016 SRT is very pleasing to the eye. But the more I looked at each model of the 2017 lineup, the more I started wondering. I didn't get too technical with my rendering, just a basic photo edit to visualize a the 2017 SRT with the 2017 summit front fascia.

Then I messed around a bit with the grill rings and ended up with this

Now, I realize that this is not a very pure build, and that even de badging the SRT can be frowned upon. I just happen to think that the 2017 summit front fascia is pretty sharp looking.

17 looks better in my opinion. Just need to get the correct color

I prefer the 16 ( as i own one lol)

The 17 looks like a Black Widow bumper for a 93 civic hatch !

Re: 2016 SRT vs 2017 SRT -VOTE!-

I actually had the opportunity to pick up a 2016 dealer demo for almost $15k below sticker and a 2016 red velvet night edition for below $10k. However it was game over when I saw the 2017. I think the 2017 looks more like the retro wk1 SRT. Both look great but I personally prefer the 2017.

Fwiw the track hawk would probably have the same "ugly" front fascia..lol

Yeah, but you forgot that if you see a trackhawk you will probably only be catching the view of its rear....LOL!!!

Would be the case for the owners all the SRT's (17 or earlier models).

Anyways i intend to see the headlights of the SRT's in the rear view mirror of my future track hawk. LOL. But I will still hold on to the SRT, it's an awesome machine.
