The potential back order issue is why I went ahead and got a 2015. Agree these things will be sweet, though. Will take some big ones to hold 'er down until she hits the 200 mark.

Pricing will do one of two things: be ridiculous enough to rule it out ($90K+ BEFORE asinine dealer markup), or cheap enough to completely annihilate the resale value on 14's and 15's, pissing off the current customer base. :)

Either way, I'll be wanting one assuming they have any shot at actually building them to meet demand unlike the current situation with Hellcats.

The current problem....or should i say one of the problems is idiots ordering from more than one dealer. There was a dumbass on IG who ordered from like 6 dealers in his area. How many times has this went on? FCA is working through the idiots and the original numbers have changed.....a lot! I believe the release of the Jeep or any other sought after vehicle will be very different. But then again...look back at the 2012 jeep srt8 pricing debacle at launch...lol!

I was just looking at wk2jeeps and the updates to the 2017 and thinking... Maybe next spring I will upgrade as the next gen looks to be ways out and mine will be 3 years old next spring

If the hellcat engine happens that maybe just became a "hell yeah"

YES! Prayers have been answered... Guessing MSRP will be right around 90K based on markup for hellcat challengers/chargers......

$85 to $89K is my less than $0.02 ... That way they can claim they have the fastest SUV on the market for less than $90

And then you have taxes...

90K would still be a bargain compared to the competitors like BMW X5M, Porsche cayenne Turbo, MB GL63 AMG, RR sport SVR all with less horsepower... If someone were to give me any of those vehicles I would still take the cheaper jeep hellcat without hesitation.... But I could be biased because I have never owned anything else ;-)

That's only about a 3% HP bump...combination of tuning, intake, exhaust, etc...the motor probably isn't capped out for its displacement, probably not super difficult for the engineers to squeeze a little more out of it.

Or just pencil whipping...who's going to pull the motor out and put it on an engine dyno? ;)
