Re: 295/45r20s?

I was looking as well. I think the grabbers are top of my list, I have separate snows and so will try to keep the crap pirelles on till fall.

I honestly can't believe there are no super sports in this size

Re: 295/45r20s?

I just replaced mine with Michelin pilot sport ps2 . Unfortunately my size was not available so went with 295/35/20 . I lost 2 inches in ride height and looked too small on vehicle. (stupid move on my part)
Took those off and put a set of Hankook Ventus st 295/45/20. and I must say I am really impressed with this tire. Not as sticky as the Pirelli's or ps2's but very quiet, little softer ride and nice looking tread design. Here are pics of old ps2 and new hankooks.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: 295/45r20s?

One thing I have come to appreciate with the Toyos other tires maybe the same but I get zero sling on my doors from tire dressing. Since the Pirelli side walls have small ribs in them, they hold the tire dressing and sprays all over your side doors.

Better picture of how Toyos look from a distance.

I went with them and was surprised how they drove and hooked at the track.
The rubber compond is 420 compared to the P ZEROS at 220 and i cut a P/B 60 ft time of 1.75 and the best i got with the P ZERO tires was 1.77 and the PRADA X were about .5 narrower than the P ZEROS.

Re: 295/45r20s?

Thoughts on going up to a 305/45/20 to maintain the width? Found these but can't find any reviews.

This is the move I went with. These come in summer and all-seasons. I'm happy so far but slightly concerned with the directional design for rotations. I don't think it will be an issue though.

LOVE the tread pattern!

I just didn't want to change my overall tire diameter so I tried my best to stick with the stick size. BUT that is only an increase of .3" or 1% I would be just fine with that...

Now the question is do you feel comfortable with that brand?

Re: 295/45r20s?

The 305s might be a good option to consider. Especially since the stock Pirellis are 30.9 in diameter. All the other 295s are around 30.5. The stock Pirellis are also more squared off at the time where more tread is hitting the pavement.

Interested in others thoughts on 305/45/20.
