Re: 295/45r20s?

Pirelli PZero run-flats are 30.5" in diameter. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde all seasons are 30.9".

Sumitomo HTR is 30.4.
Yokohama Parada is 30.6.
General Grabber is 30.5.

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to end up trying out the Generals...

A buddy of mine had some generals (don't remember exactly which ones) on his pathfinder and was happy with them esp. Considering the price point.

Re: 295/45r20s?

Hi guys. I had the pradas installed this weekend. The feel is good but I noticed they are a little noisier than the p-zeros.

Anyone else notice the noise? I noticed this when driving into the wind and is less noticeable with cross winds.y guess is the noise comes from the tires sticking out a little past the front bumper.

Do you think I'm just hyper sensitive to sounds now that I'm more aware after the tire install

Re: 295/45r20s?

I have had two sets of all season p zeros, a set of yokohama paradas and most recently a set of BFGs. Thus far I can say that the pirellis ride the stiffest and are the most uncomfortable. The Paradas were definitely the most noisy. The BFGs which i had expected to be quite loud due to the aggressive tread pattern have turned out to be my favorite tire. I actually got the last set in BFGs warehouse that they made before they ceased production. I was holding on to them to see if anyone would want them but recently mounted so FR20s and didnt feel like taking tires off my old rims. Overall just a great tire.

Conclusion: I would NOT purchase the paradas again.

Just my 2 cents

My Toyos are extremely quiet. Starting to really enjoy them. You can tell the sidewalls are a lot softer. Definitely not a track tire for this heavy of a vehicle but good for daily driving.

Re: 295/45r20s?

I went with the General Grabber UHP because they were the only ones that I could find with the same 10.5" tread width. They look good and get great traction in the monsoon we are currently having - I pulled a 4.3 0-60 in the rain earlier.

I'll update this in the future after I get some miles under them with my overall impressions. Can't beat the price though - $165/each.

How are those General Grabber UHP's treating you Lankness. I like the looks of them & that they have the wide tread width.

I've been told though & read reviews that they are noisy. How are you finding them?

Re: 295/45r20s?

I like them - they're cheap and they're the right size. They are a *tad* noisier than what the Pirelli all-seasons were, but I only noticed it with the windows down and the radio off.

I really like the looks & reviews on the UHP's & the tread width really makes a difference in the look of the tire on the vehicle.

It's a more squared tire with substantial shoulders.....that's a far better look than the rounded shoulders.

Do you have any pics of the UHP's on your Jeep. I looked but could only find the Pirelli's.

Thanks
