Scary when you have expensive wheels and you have to wonder if the right tires will be made again. I knew someone with a Rolls Royce who had to stockpile very obscure tires no longer made by the English supplier.

I don't think scary is the right word...more like a minor annoyance.

I'm simply not spending 1500 on tires.

Re: 305/35/22 Pirelli Mileage Report

people we need to keep emailing them and pushing them to bring them back into production. Or maybe we can convince another manufacturer to start producing this size. I really don't want to have to go to a 295 chinese brand when the time comes...

Re: 305/35/22 Pirelli Mileage Report

Sorry to Hijack
Love the pirellis but $$$$ is a variable so...
Looking at these tires Vredestein Ultrac Vorti Tires
In 315/35/20
Are these to wide for stock wheels?
Assuming the specs are similar to the Perelli's will these fit on stock spider monkeys 20 inch
And Will I need spacers and if so what size for them to be flush with the fender flare
Thanks
Rob

Re: 305/35/22 Pirelli Mileage Report

If the Pirellis are discontinued I'll sell my wheels. I've seen 285s in person and it ruins the look of our Jeeps. This isn't a Honda Civic. The Jeep needs to have meaty tires, no stretch. I've also seen the 305/40 tires and the Jeep looks funny with them. I'll just go back to stock and buy the 295/45 Pirelli all seasons because that is hands down the best tire for this vehicle. I cannot fathom buying a vehicle and not being prepared for the maintenance. The most exaggerated case is Carbon Ceramic brakes. Social media has led to everyone being a "car guy". Carbon Ceramic brakes are another unnecessary YOLO mindset marketing gimmick and are damn near worthless on the street. Nevertheless, these "car guys" have to have them..They go buy their ZR1 or Porsche or whatever with them and then when it comes time to change them out they cannot afford the $5-20k it cost for a brake job, so they sell the car or convert to steel. Sorry but it really irks me! I'm also pissed off at Pirelli for dragging their feet on these

9/10 on the rant...

I decided I'm going to start buying single Pirelli 305s when I come across them if the price is good. So far I'm 1/4 the way towards a 2nd set. Yea, it is ridiculous, but after driving on these tires, I agree with you that they are the perfect match for these vehicles.
