for example- I can take my Jeep to the dealer have have the oil changed for $21.95. Same service for her Lexus is $129.
That is another problem: Once you enter the higher price territory, maintenace-costs and other expenses become less important. If you buy a Cayenne Turbo, that's the last thing you care about.
And vehicles like Cayennes are almost never bought for their value. The "seller" is prestige. I bet even the majority of SRT8-vehicles are just bought for that purpose - certainly not because it's practical to have a 160mph-vehicle in a country that has no Autobahn..
I guess we are simply disagreeing on the fit&finish when it comes to Porsche.
As I said in a different post, it is very likely that I'm going to get an SRT8 in a few years as well because I do see the whole picture - but I do understand that it is difficult to justify the difference in price of almost $15K
between a fully loaded Overland and SRT8. And I'm convinced that this comparison is the one that will be made over and over....
