Active noise cancellation

Does anyone know how the Active noise cancellation works and would it be possible to have it installed in my 2014 SRT? I would really like to benefit from this.

I've read it's similar tech as the bose headphones. Pumps in noise canceling sounds waves.

Re: Active noise cancellation

I don't think it works. My 2015 has it and I really don't notice it doing a whole lot. It's supposed to take the place of the exhaust valve on the 14's. I believe to reduce the drone.

Re: Active noise cancellation

Some people would say you chose the wrong vehicle. But the option for this feature to be turned on/off ( if it worked ) would be cool.

Re: Active noise cancellation

I just wish it did a better job of canceling the drone when the MDS kicks in. I really like the exhaust tone otherwise.

Re: Active noise cancellation

Damn, that may be the issue with my handsfree dropping in Audio quallity since I installed my blower a few weeks ago. I just realized that. So...which module is responsible for generating the noise cancellation audio? I installed a 2014 ECU in my 2015 SRT and since then, people complain my HF sounds like shit. Low volume and bad quality audio on their side.

That could be it. I thought the noise cancellation originates from the speakers in the headliner.

Re: Active noise cancellation

Yes, those are the mics, not speakers. They aren't large enough to support the low frequencies required to generate the noise cancellation. I'm guessing they no longer work in my case, as my exhaust is much louder now post blower, although I'm sure some of that comes from the new intake and 8.5 PSI coming in!
