Active Noise Cancellation

I'm thinking about ordering a '16 SRT after the first of the year; I'm just concerned that my sensitive (i.e.; old) ears will not like ANC. I've seen a couple of comments on here that to some it feels like driving with a rear window slightly cracked open, or like the pressure you feel when wearing noise-cancelling headphones. Do you love it? Hate it? Don't notice it at all?

Re: Active Noise Cancellation

I don't notice it. If it bothers you, disconnect the microphones in the headliner.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Re: Active Noise Cancellation

2014's don't have Active Noise Cancellation. It's a new feature starting in '15. They removed the valves from the exhaust and are using the ANC to make MDS mode sound better.

Re: Active Noise Cancellation

One review I watched on YouTube stated that the noise cancellation made it 10 decibels quieter while cruising down the highway.

Re: Active Noise Cancellation

My '15 is eerily quiet inside. Im a big fan of ANC.

Simple answer...No.
Now if you have enough time/money, I'm sure it could be added.
You'd need the microphones and the harnesses for them
Amp
Tap wires in the PCM.
Not 100% sure if it has a separate module. I know it connects to / gets input from the bus, all the speakers, amplifier, and PCM.

Would you consider just having the MDS turned off altogether? There are programmers that are available that disable the MDS.
