Re: Adaptive Cruise warning

How hard is it to read your manual its pretty clearly explained in mine!!! Amazing how the info is under every owners nose but they are too lazy to look themselves..

Re: Adaptive Cruise warning

Woo woo back up buddy. I did read mine, but like I said this forum led me to believe this.

This is why I had thought so. No offence to anyone on this forum.

The manual is also semi generic, mine mentions auto (power) folding side mirrors even though it is NOT an option available in U.S. SRT models...

Similarly the window stickers and build sheets also show it for the 2015 but they ALSO show other features that may change... Example, my build sheet shows a single Chrome Exhaust tip AND a dual Black Exhaust tip... It obviously doesn't have both... It started with a generic build list, some parts are replaced based on the build and unfortunately they don't remove the original listing.

Again to the window sticker, mine lists the Goliath wheels and base audio system, though both were optioned out / upgraded....

My point being, a LOT of the literature contradicts itself so it would simply be nice to get 100% confirmation from either an insider or someone who has tested it personally...

I pick up my 2015 Dec 6th, maybe I can get an opportunity to test it myself after that though this is the type of feature that is a bit risky to try out IMO...

Re: Adaptive Cruise warning

That's one of my concerns too, that it's listed on the 2015 window sticker but still drops out of cruise before a full stop on the SRT. No one with a 2015 seems to have confirmed the stop/go functionality yet. Shouldn't be too risky to test, just enable it and get behind some traffic...it will either drop out at low speed or come to a complete stop...just be ready to brake.

It's not a total dealbreaker but it's a feature I was greatly anticipating as my Audi is early generation ACC without the stop/go and in LA traffic I find it pretty annoying.

Now we need to know if it was a hardware and/or software change for the SRT and when did it happen.

Hopefully the hardware was change at the same time as other wk2 ( September 2013 if I remember correctly) would be cool if it was a software update for SRT build date October 2013 and after.

Re: Adaptive Cruise warning

I have a 2015 SRT. It has the ACC with stop/go. I haven't tested it to a complete stop yet but the owner's manual states that it will come to a complete stop for 2 seconds after which time the driver must apply the brakes. Not sure if this helps anyone.

I know we don't drive a Dodge, but I have a 14 and it's called the same thing. ACC stop and go. I was going to call customer service and ask for a explanation. What's the the point of calling it stop and go when it doesn't.

Re: Adaptive Cruise warning

The video states that ACC can apply up to 25% of the braking power. Maybe when it needs more than the 25% the driver's must intervene.

The 2015 GC brochure says that ACC with stop can "help" bring your vehicle to a complete stop if conditions require.

Additional notes say that the driver must be aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use brakes to avoid collisions.

This all seems vague in a way that Chrysler won't commit to saying it "will" stop your vehicle. I'm sure the lawyers drafted that language.
