Also if you end up needing plastic rivets and a rivet gun Harbor Freight has a kit that is very inexpensive. I noticed the one from NAPA was sort of on the expensive side that one of the posters used to complete his hitch install. Good luck.

BTW you do not want to hide the brake controller because you cannot see the display or activate manually. Mine is low and I see it through the right bottom of the steering wheel.

mine is a '14, but i ordered the following:

- the hitch
- the SRT embossed bumper bezel
- a 4 pin/7pin connector to plug into

The parts guy confirmed that the '14s are pre-wired, so I don't have to get the harness.

I wanted to order the full size spare kit (with tools) but was told it is not available.

I'll come back after the install and detail labor/parts costs. I won't name the dealer as I have a friend who works there and is able to help me out at least on cost for parts.

Question I have is this; has anyone installed a brake controller? I'd like to do so in mine, but i refuse to have it anywhere in the open. It has to be hidden. I'm thinking center console or something of the sort.

FYI on the spare tire, i have factory srt wheels on my overland and my spare is the same height as the srt wheels.(see pic) i can get you the tire size if needed

Thank you! I was told that they didn't have a part number for the spare kit yet, I'll make sure to let them know the parts for an overland will match as well.

Re: Adding factory tow package to MY2014 SRT

parts were ordered, and arrived at the dealer the next day. waiting for the 10th to roll around to bring it in for the install.

am i an idiot for paying them to do this? I'm mechanically inclined, but just don't want to roll the dice with a new vehicle of this caliber.

this won't be happening, im unwilling to screw it into the lower kick panel, or anything of the sort. maybe in the cubby ahead of the cupholders, but ideally in the center console, and then keep the center console open when towing.

i do appreciate the concern though
