Re: Alert: Module Software Updates for 2012

Hey guys. Have any of you been able to do any 0-60 times under good conditions? I did some driving under Sport and Track and found the shifting to be less smooth than in Auto. I believe these updates are intended to be optimal in Auto mode, which is the normal default mode.

I got 4.2 in track mode the other day and 4.3 in auto mode with good conditions 25 degrees out. I will check again in auto mode when I get a chance but I feel track still might be a tad better only because on the highway I felt it picked up quicker as well

Re: Alert: Module Software Updates for 2012

Sport and Track modes are SUPPOSED to give you harder and faster shifts. That's what those modes do. In auto mode the 'box will learn your driving style and adjust to suit, and it is constantly variable. Drive hard in auto, using paddles, braking late etc, and that's how the 'box will drive for a while until it "learns" again that your driving sedately (if you do lol).

Re: Alert: Module Software Updates for 2012

Thanks for making us aware of these updates. Have an appointment to get them installed next Friday. Dealer has quoted me a flat fee of $99 to perform all the updates.

Just saw this thread on the "Recent Threads" list. Am looking to get a MY15 JGC this spring [not an SRT but with the 5.7L] and wanted to know how you know about any software updates for your JGC's. Assume there will be updates for the MY15 in the future at some point...

Is there a section on the Jeep or Mopar sites, or are you finding out about them in the Tech Bulletins or some other section here on the JG site?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know why all updates don't become TSBs...it seems you have to ask your dealer if there are any updates available.
