4.1 sec is fantastic! Faster than anything Jeep claims. It's Sunday night, and I'm catching up with a flurry of posts.

Re: Alert: Module Software Updates for 2012

What I have to say about these updates is:
  • I wish to see/read that NO ONE else gets these done.
  • The updates are HORRIBLE.
  • ALL of these flashes/updates mentioned have changed the Jeep SRT of mine to a point where I do not enjoy driving the Jeep at all anymore.
I immediately from the start HATED the Adaptive Dampening being firmer and constantly bobbling up/down unnecessarily over every uneven surface along with the engine feeling limited. Potholes: Be prepared to get slammed. The ride is complete crap now. Anyone who thinks this is an improvement isn't a sane person if you think this is an improvement acceptable/nice ride vs the original setting.

The transmission learning feature failed in mine putting the Jeep into Limp Mode after the TCM update. Dropped the Jeep off at a different dealership to have it diagnosed/fixed and it took over a week to solve through the Star Case. The Adaptive cruise control would not work. And the paddle shifters did not work either. The transmission now makes the front-end pop up/dive.

Now I'm finding the Limited slip activates in any road conditions all the time above 3/4th's - WOT acceleration while entering any corner limiting power and jerking/tossing you around. The Jeep NEVER did this before in any conditions from the wettest of roads to dry/pebbled roads, etc.

The Jeep is in every way NOT enjoyable to drive after the flashes. I DO NOT look forward to driving it at all anymore as before in the entire 3 years of ownership. After these flashes are done I am only now told you cannot go back to the original flashes. SO....everyone BEWARE of what you ask for when getting these flashes DONE. They are a permanent destruction to what use to be a wonderful vehicle I once drove.

If you already like your Non-Flashed SRT... I Strongly suggest/recommend you keep it that way. Or... you'll be so enraged knowing there is nothing you or Chrysler wants to do, to go back to what once was. Before the flashes I had a vehicle I felt I couldn't ask anything more of ...to now constantly thinking of selling since it now rides/drives like a P.O.S. I had 3 years of wonderful experiences to compare it to.

DO NOT get these updates done.
Can't stress that enough !!!

Re: Alert: Module Software Updates for 2012

had the TSBs/recalls done on my 2012 yesterday at 40k interval. along with all the aforementioned noticeable changes in performance (smoother acceleration & gear shifts, firm braking, up-shifts at 4.5k) , etc. i did notice the engine shut-off is now silent & shudder-free; you can barely notice (hear) the engine shutting off. has anyone else noticed this?

the first time i actually had to push the button again to be sure the engine had shutdown (but instead it switched on again).

Sorry to hear your experience Dead Shot. Sounds like something went wrong. I've had my updates for a few months now without the slightest problem. I still like them.

Yes, I also noticed the engine is super quiet at idle. I once forgot to turn it off, but fortunately it was in Park.
