I have it loaded in the truck but it's been a really wet week here in NJ so I just need to see some sunshine and find some downtime from work and it will report back.

Good news to report back. This tune made a huge difference. Over all feel of the way the power comes on from the supercharger is very smooth in both acceleration and shifts. Used launch control in track mode with three clicks of the dial to raise rpms and did a 3.7 & 3.8 virtually back to back. Temp was 80 with low humidity and IAT temp was roughly 110-115 on both runs. Still think there is more to be dialed in but definately left me with a smile on my face to be seeing sub 4.0 runs. To be continued.....

Not to be a downer at all. Love what your doing and excited to see when you have it fully dialed in but there are guys including myself getting sub 4 sec 0-60 with no SC. Weren't you hoping for like a 3.2 3.4 or something like that?? Or there still more dialing in needed??? Either way I can't wait to see some videos when it's completed

I couldn't agree more. My expectations were to be in the 3.3-3.5 range consistently wether the engine was cold..heat soaked..whatever. I'm happy because 3.7 is the fastest it's been but like you said. I added the supercharger which gained me roughly 150 awd hp according to the dyno so the tuning is still not quite there as far as unleashing its full potential with a power adder. I'm confident that with some data logging and the expertise of Ross at RIPP and the calibrators at diablo that I will be putting down better numbers in no time. Really is just a matter or tweaking different variables in a safe manner to get to the trucks full potential. Hope to have some video and a pic or two of some sub 3.5 runs shortly. Keep you posted.

Some of this tuning talk is over my head so I apologize if this is a dumb question....

So when you dyno the truck you do it in 6th gear (1:1) correct? And when you are already moving along in 6th gear and floor it to get a dyno run the SRT's engine computer does NOT "hold back" I guess is the correct term since there is less stress on the drive train because you are already moving correct? So you get awesome numbers (+150 hp) this way? Essentially the engine computer is not worried about anything breaking.

But when you try to do a 0-60 run you start from 0 mph-- and with that much power causes a lot of stress on the drive train. So the SRT engine computer holds back the engine -- it tries to limit output to save the transmission and transfer case correct? That is why you aren't getting as good 0-60 times as you would like ----- but it still will dyno at huge horsepower gains?

Hopefully somebody smarter than me can understand what I am trying to ask haha and even answer it!!!

Ok one last question-- so say everything above is correct and I didn't say anything really stupid...we are trying to get the SRT computer to stop "holding back" in 1st gear on launches for a sweet 0-60 time right? Does that mean that there is a chance we could bust a front axle? Or explode the transfer case? How do you know what is safe? Does SRT publish a torque limit for those components? Or is it trial & error?

Re: Almost GO TIME...Ripp supercharger inhand and ready for install

Why is the focus on the 0-60 performance? What's the 30mph plus performance? IMO, that's what is more important here. How hard is the truck pulling/feeling during normal driving when you punch it? You're power and pull should feel just as much, or more, at driving speeds than just the lower speeds/starting. There is only so fast a 5200lbs+ vehicle can go off the line so decreasing the take off times is going to reduce at a much more difficult rate. Yes there was a good amount of WHP added, but you are still launching a heavy vehicle from a stand still. The 0-60 time here may not even be an engine issue, could it not be transmission/gearing hindrance?

It's pretty tough for my Shelby to take either of my SRT's 0-60mph even though it has nearly 200hp more, but if you go any interval above 25-30mph, it'll be bloody. Once that engine opens up and boost is flowing it's rocket ship time. The 6.4L is a very finicky engine to modify, I'm not surprised at all that the increase in power isn't drastically lowering the 0-60 time. I could see there being a 0.5-1 second lag where that new power is even being used, whether that be due to boost building and being used by the engine or the tranny/diff putting it to the ground, which would reduce the impact of it cutting 0-60 times. But I could see it being much more beneficial at higher RPMs and speed in laying down the hammer. In fact, my desire for an SC is for that purpose. Harder, faster pull at pace rather than from a dead stop. The truck already does that great compared to even most sports cars, I think the truck needs more power in the mid and higher RPMs.

Well said and I would agree. This truck needs more pull above 30.
