Another great dealership service experience ...

Over the years, I've been really critical of Chrysler/Jeep quality and corporate customer service. I've had too many problems to list with my 5 Grand Cherokees & and my Charger SRT8. But, I still buy Chrysler products because of the great relationship with my dealer and his service department.

Over Christmas, the tube fitting on one of the windshield washer nozzles on my Jeep broke off while driving on a salt covered highway. Never had that happen before. Luckily, it was on the passenger side, and I still could see out of the windshield on the driver's side. The dealership was closed over Christmas, and was open again today with a skeleton staff. I took my Jeep in first thing this morning to see about fixing the nozzle. There were about 6 cars ahead of me, all with angry drivers complaining about the poor reliability of their Chrysler vehicles and the problems they had over the Christmas holiday. One guy was so mad, he threw his keys at my Service Advisor. By the time I got to the Advisor, I could see she was a little shaken up, so we talked a little to clear the air, and then I showed her my problem. She said if the part was in stock, it would be a 2 minute fix. Rather than putting me at the end of the queue to wait for my turn to get looked after, the Adviser said wait here & she took off for the stock room. A minute or so later she came back with a baggy containing a new nozzle. She then went into the shop and came back with a mechanic (one of the few I trust with my vehicles). Five minutes later, the new nozzle was installed, tested, and I was on my way. They could have made me wait for an hour or more until the other customers had been processed, but they saw that my fix wouldn't take long and did the fix right away. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Right now, I'm a very happy customer - even though I still have my concerns about overall Chrysler/Jeep product quality/reliability, e.g. Why did the nozzle break in the first place? And, I still have to have the oil leak at the engine oil filter looked at.
