Thats everything I've ever heard about a black vehicle. Especially dealing with the Chicago winters and sometimes rainy springs....I almost wonder if the mineral gray is the best choice. That color is SHARP.

Mineral gray will look cleaner longer, especially at 10'. Black is so sharp though, especially with all of the flake that they put in it.

I've had black vehicles in the past, but, personally, I'll never do one for a daily driver again. I'm too OCD with keeping things clean and I don't have time to wash/clean up my car every day. (Yes, I used to do that, my record is 280ish cleanups on one vehicle in one year, I'd have to go check my archives for the exact number though).

Had a 10 black and now a 12 black. Love it just wish it was faster. As my 3 year daughter says. Faster and faster daddy.

If you're buying a '12 or '13 make sure on the sides where the front fascia meets the front fender hasnt popped out. This is an issue that is a PITA to actually fix for good and not all dealers can figure out how to fix it. Also, check the fender flairs and make sure they are all attached well and the 3M tape isnt coming undone. Also, see if the AC will actually work when you use the remote start. I think that was handled in the '13's, but have heard a few saying its still an issue. Its much easier to get things fixed before you hand them your money. Unless you are getting a '12 or '13 priced under 50K, I would seriously consider a '14. As far as black goes, there is so much flake in the brilliant black color, it hides dirt much better than
other colors of black. Nothing looks better than black in my book.

Thank you VERY much for all the advice! I will be sure to check out all of these things. And FYi I'm getting a 12 for WELL under 50k. 30k miles on it.

You will love it! I still smile EVERY time I hear the engine start. I have 22K on my 2012.

FYI: I had an Impala (4 banger) as a rental the last time I was in Chicago. Considering the driving style of the natives, the extra 350 horses would have been welcome!
